The Roost

Programming, palaver, puffins!

Yay! DS Lite came today! But...

Yay! The DS Lite which I won in the Opera Community "How well do you know the web" contest arrived yesterday!

This thing is very slick and small compared with the previous versions. My brother has one and won't he be jealous!

The Opera browser is already installed and ready to go, but I'm darn lucky the thing came with a charge already in the battery pack. Tell me, what am I supposed to do with this strange bit of equipment?

No, not the cat! The funny electrical doohickey to the left. I don't know how you people in Europeland power your gadgets but our plugs aren't shaped like the business end of chopsticks:

Oh well, I thought to myself, I'll just get a little plug adapter bit for it because obviously Nintendo has been nice enough to make their adapters 110V-220V compatible, right?

Wrong.

So, anyway, I ended up logging onto the Nintendo.com website and buying a North American style adapter which turned out to be just $20 or so including shipping etc. I must say, the site was really easy to use, but that's beside the point P:

A big "thank you" to Opera from me for this wonderful device which will allow me to play the one Final Fantasy game of the series which I haven't yet finished (excluding FFXII - which I have already ordered - and FFXI - which is online only), Final Fantasy III !!! I've seen the screenshots and it looks pretty nice, but I hope there is an option that will allow you to play it with the original graphics

Bonzosayrawr!

Widget World Cup for Canada!I am typing this post on my DS Lite!

I sold it to Judy. I think she was jealous though! Good games for it were few and far between :frown:

I want to play Final Fantasy 3 when you finish it or I will select the "attack" command on you!
