Tagged Again!

, ,

Hoekay, This time I'm tagged by my friends theoddbod (Mart) and Angel292005(~Sarah~) . I have to name 4 inventions I'd like to see made, and 4 inventions I hate.
.
1. A clothes washer and shower/bath all in one. You lay down in a sensory deprivation tank, fully clothed, after chosing the settings. An ultrasonic device washes and sanitizes you and your clothes- wait! -wait!
.Heres the best part!
.While you sleep!
I'm having a little trouble with the spin/rinse cycle.:faint:
.
2. A Teleporter. Oh,please Dear Lord, so badly do I need one of these! Does my soul go along for the ride? Hmmm...
.
3. A food/drink replicator. Do not tell me that spam comes in different flavors. Do not mention Soylent Green. I will barf. On you.
.
4. A new and improved version of Opera Mini that has a U.I. more like a computer. Where you can scroll left, right,up or down on a page and zoom in on what you want to see. All while staying logged in to the site you're at.
Fantasy? Perhaps someday...
.
.4 Things I wish had never been invented:
.
1. Snooze alarms. I now have 5+ alarm clocks with this diabolical feature. None of them work anymore. That happens when you jerk them up by the wires and throw them against the wall. My next step is a old time police siren on the telephone pole. that should make me a "hit" with the neigbors,eh?
.
2. Voice prompts."press one for English, press two for..." Jesus.
.
3. Remote control t.v. sets: I cannot think of anything more benignly useless... Get up and change the damn channel!
.
4. Weapons of destruction. Including, but not limited to:I.E.D.s, landmines nuclear weapons and chemical/biological agents. Stop the killing! Put it back in the 'hood, where it belongs.
.
.Thankyou, and good day. :D
.
.OK, people, freakshows over! Remember, check out Marts blog here at Opera,he's got some cool stories. Leave a comment, if yot want. His real name is Theo.:left:
Peace, y'all!

:eyes: Theo! p:

The all-in-one wash is a popular choice so far - maybe it could be combined with the teleporter so you arrive fresh.

We never had a remote for years - now all the TVs hide the buttons so you have to use it for almost every function. Of course, now my dad's 78 the remote is a godsend.

That new version of Opera Mini is pure science fiction. It won't happen in my lifetime

Dennis 28. July 2007, 20:49

Yeah, and if you have days instead of hours off your clothes washer/bath converts to a straight sensory deprivation tank. Intravenous Demerol(tm) LARGE bore needle and a ssslllloooww drip available at an additional cost!@_Theo_ddbod!

theoddbod 28. July 2007, 21:00

 It is funny, I must admit

Dennis 28. July 2007, 21:36

ever seen Mr. Bean's remote? (it's a long stick with a glove at the end of it  )

Dennis 29. July 2007, 17:27

@ Mr. Beans remote! I just don't like 'em! Mine sits on top of the t.v. -I dust it once a week.
. I installed a radio and a Sirius in one of the supervisors cars. Not only did the Sirius come with a remote, the radio had one, too! :faint: Hell, I'm happy if the radio _works_ in my car! The last 2 cars I had didn't have radios in them, so I just :sing:to myself!:yikes:

r♡se 29. July 2007, 19:38

Just had word that beta version 2 is on it's way. I haven't been specifically told to keep it quiet so I'm blabbing everywhere. Hopefully this'll help with your Opera Mini fantasy.

Cough syrup. With codeine, or APAP.:left:

Dennis 3. December 2007, 17:59

I was a hands on dad. We'd get ready for bed (me and the baby, wifey 1.0 beta worked 2nd).
Either I'd play guitar with her on the waterbed- I'd set up a gentle rocking motion. She'd be out usually, like a light. Or, I'd shut the lights in the bedroom off, put some soft Jazz or Classical on the stereo, and give her the lightest of backrubs- back tickles really- with my fingertips. Again, she'd be  in 5 minutes. :D

DeeDee 3. December 2007, 21:05

i gotta try that trick. but i am dealing with a VERY moody 7 yr old (I swear she's on pms), so it's kinda hard to try and put the baby to sleep and deal with a very winey little girl "MOMMY, I can't sleep. My eyes hurt!" they hurt cause they need rest silly girl

Dennis 3. December 2007, 22:57

I've no clue. The cough syrup thing always worked for me,though... :left:

DeeDee 3. December 2007, 23:45

cough syrup  nah, we ain't got any. oh well! :D

Dennis 4. December 2007, 00:02

Tell her if she closes her eyes, they won't hurt anymore.

The Dark Furie 4. December 2007, 09:30

awww

Dennis 4. December 2007, 14:17

Hey, Deedee, you ever try warm chocolate milk, or warm milk - if she'll drink it plain?

DeeDee 4. December 2007, 15:59

I'll try it. But I think I found her problem. We took her in to the ER because she wouldn't stop screaming. Once there though, after the doctor gave her meds, she was fine. ear infections are baaad!!!!!

Dennis 4. December 2007, 16:13

Oh,man. Ear inf. suck!

DeeDee 4. December 2007, 16:22

i know. i have 1 w/ear infection 2 with a cold, 1 in school (and our downstairs freak has bronchitis (sp?) )

Dennis 4. December 2007, 16:30

*backs slowly away from the phone*:yikes: I can't afford to get sick!

What is the "downstairs freak"?

DeeDee 4. December 2007, 16:45

 i forgot...the one who lives in rhe basement!

Dennis 4. December 2007, 16:56

Ok, that's 5. Who do you make stay in the basement?

DeeDee 4. December 2007, 17:01

my mother-in-law keeps her 26 yr old son down there. We had a fling once, so he's not allowed in my room and i ain't goin downstais!

Dennis 4. December 2007, 18:50

:rolleyes::lol:

Mesokewl2007 4. December 2007, 23:02

Lmao@the basement thing.

The Dark Furie 5. December 2007, 00:37
