Christmas, Santa, and the fire trucks.

  I realize that here in the U.S. Christmas is mostly commercialism and hype. There's very little in the way of the Holy day left. Store employees trampled to death so that shoppers can get a jump on holiday shopping... families at the brink of bankruptcy trying to get the latest fads for their kids, ad nauseum... left
 I work 3rd. shift, plus what I do on the side works out to 14 shifts out of a possible 21. In the name of all that is Holy, can anyone explain to me why two fire trucks with their lights a-flashin', sirens screaming and horns a-honking have to come down my street,(no fire, no emergency of any kind) with Santa perched on top of the fire truck? I mean, Jesus Christ! He should be in the Mall,no? rolleyes
  All this (half an hours worth of caterwauling sirens, and air horns) while I'm trying to get to sleep. Thanks to my local fire department I'll probably be late to work now! It's a good thing at this point that I a) do not own a rifle, and b) that I no longer live in a State where, "Your Honour- he needed killing!" is a valid defence for depriving someone of his life. irked I let Santa live.

With the current economy crisis, I think being in a mall wouldn't do him no good. I mean... I bet he's terrified of kids sending him letters, saying "Santa, please buy me this very expensive gift so that my parents wouldn't have to" left

It's nice that you let him live, this year... That might get you the ticket to Santa's lap wink
