Of Fleas and Facebook

I was originally concerned about Facebook as it appeared that I had some unwanted attention. Sue signed up and got in touch with people from her past and seemed to be having a right laugh catching up and throwing bananas at people and whatever else it is people throw at each other on Facebook. I saw a video that showed the links between the financial backers of Facebook, the CIA and another shadowy organisation set up with the sole intention of getting as much information on people as possible. I see today that Microsoft are offering $100,000,000 for a percentage of Facebook in order to get their mitts on the data within.

I also heard that when you deactivate your account, the data is never actually deleted. They do this, they say, so if you come back to the fold your details will still be there. So, even after Microsoft get their hands on all your info, even after they sell it on, even after a radical govt gets in power and wants to see who may be perputrating thought crime, there'll be no way of taking that data back. The clock is striking thirteen. Oooohhhhh. Scary.

I've still signed up, though. I didn't want to miss out.

Some movement on the job front. Got a job at EDS starting in a couple of weeks, it's a helpdesk-type job telling people to switch their monitors on if the screen is black and the like. Not exactly what I was after, it's a bit of a cattle market, but I'm thankful for getting a start. Hopefully I'll be able to move onto a college or university as Technician next year all depends on how it goes. The Office is like a Buck Rogers set and roughly an hour away from home. Plenty of bikes outside too, which is good thing for me.

I mean, Jesus Christ, what IS that?

Joe has started standing up. Really weird seeing him standing in the middle of the room. He waves with both his hands whilst he's doing it at sort of waist height, heh heh. Looks like he will be walking pretty soon now.

The cat has got fleas.

Ha!

EDS is where I started my "career" Brazier, formerly owned by Ross Perot a texan whose views were slighly further right than hitler which in Texas made him a pinko commie.

We used to get a mail everyweek from the CEO who was called Dick Brown (no lie) telling us how much money they were making which was pleasing as we were getting paid f all.

They have a lot of the goverment IT contracts thanks to the large bungs they chucked the tory goverment to secure them - allegedly

EDS stands for

Every
Day (the)
Same

But good work getting away from the dole/Kyle lifestyle
