Profession: Physician/Anaesthesiologist

My work

Besides my professional work, I have been working as a leasure-time-botanist for about 40 years.
My special interests are geobotany, taxonomy and phylogeny of orchids.
Since 1992 I have been working on the European and Mediterranean gender OPHRYS L.
My favourite software applications for this scientific purpose are: BRAHMS, DELTA, NDE, PHYLIP, MESQUITE, MACCLADE, MAPMAKER.
I am an APPLE-User: 20", 2,66 GHz, 2Gb RAM iMac, OSX Snow Leopard; VirtualBox with Linux Mint 10.0 and XP Professional.
And I am an OPERA-User, too.
