Nothing [Else] Matters

If there is no god
Nothing Matters
If there is a god...
Nothing Else Matters
The fool says in his heart,
"There is no God."
- Psalm 53

I was thinking today, as I often do, about the meaning of life. Not much changed, I still came to the same conclusion, we live to worship God (I think there's a verse that says that too). Simple as that.
Now one of the main differences as I ran through the meaning of life this time was what the meaning of life would be for a non-Christian, and how one would explain the meaning of life a non-Christian.
See a friend of a friend recently wrote a suicide note on his blog (no, he didn't follow through on it), though it's since been deleted. Anyway, in part of it he said something to the extent that there's no point living in such a stupid, horribly messed up world, and I have to say, sometimes I feel that way too.
However, and this brings me to my "point" (take this time to scroll up and read the text at the top of the post please.). That without a god there really isn't anything to live for, we have no purpose, no goal, nothing to look forward to when we die.
But! When God comes into the picture everything changes, now we're still in the same crummy world as everyone else, and many of us still wonder, what's the point of living here if when we die we'll go to Heaven and fulfill what we were made to do.
Well, this is where an extremely tough to comprehend concept comes in, Free Will. Now, again, without God it's difficult if not impossible to prove, but with God we've got something to compare against, that's the Bible. I think the greatest proof of free will is the fact we can go from perfection in the Garden of Eden to where we are today.
Anyway! Because of free will we've got our few years on Earth to decide if we want to follow God and worship Him or just do our own thing and assume that we were made at random and this is it or worship some made at random "god" who some how managed to become cool enough to be considered "god", etc. etc.
There's also the fact that because people choose to turn away from God if all the Christians died to be with Him there'd be a sudden lack of new Christians! So as Christians we're here to try and get people to see what they were designed for, which is to worship God.
----
Ugh, this all seemed so much more logical when I was first forming the idea in my mind, so I hope it's not utterly confusing or absurdly cliche as I think it is, I wouldn't know because of my stupid habit of never proof-reading. Shoot me now!
But yeah, seriously, this is really for everyone who I would love to know God but I fail to find the words to do so 1-on-1. Maybe this will plant some seeds that can be watered later on.
I love you all too much to see you go to Hell!
P.S. As futile as I know this is, I'd love to hear your opinions on this, especially if you've got a different "meaning of life". I'm always curious about other people's views!
