Expletive Deleted

I haven't been blogging about basketball for some years now. Too bad my favorite teams have come up short yet again. But the upcoming NBA finals has me giddy with anticipation. The Boston Celtics held off the Detroit Pistons in game 6 of the Eastern conference finals, giving them the opportunity to face their historical rivals the Los Angeles Lakers.

I don't have a horse in this race, but given my disdain against number 24, I might root for the Celtics. I was a Lakers fan in my younger days, and I remember enjoying the showtime Lakers with Magic Johnson and James Worthy. I stopped being a Lakers fan when Magic retired. Maybe if the other Lakers players rise to the occasion, especially Pau Gasol, then I can easily flip-flop to the other team. Either way, I am hopeful that the finals will live up to the hype.
