Bunting Ubuntu

Testing out Ubuntu 5.10 “Breezy Badger” Live CD. This Linux Distro seems promising enough; simple and straightforward interface, lots of neat geek tools and preinstalled softwares... If I decide to shift to Linux, I'll keep Ubuntu in mind.
Oddly, though. Ubuntu didn't mount my three hard drives, nor could it even access them. I tried going to System > Administration > Disks > HDD Enable, but nothing happens. It just says Inaccessible. Maybe it's because I use Windows NTFS? I dunno. My old Knoppix Live CD had no problem accessing my NTFS partitions. I just wanna test out if Ubuntu can run my audio and video files. And perhaps my other files as well.
Well, my initial impression of Ubuntu is optimistic but with a tinge of disappointment. Maybe on their next release (they say they will release a new version every six months) I would actually create a linux partition for Ubuntu, so I can do more tests. Until then, I will stick with Windows XP. I am not, after all, a MS bashing fantatic.
