William Dembski, the so-called "Isaac Newton of Information Theory," made a stunningly silly math blooper. According to his blog, Dembski proclaims that international interest in Intelligent Design is "growing." How did he come up with this bold statement? By thoroughly misunderstanding the statistics in Google Trends! Oh my goodness! And he's supposed to be a credentialed mathematician? No wonder he left his teaching career in mathematics at a university and moved to a bible college, so that he could teach THEOLOGY. Dembski says,Theology is where my ultimate passion is and I think that is where I can uniquely contribute ... I am looking forward to engaging students and theological students have always been my favorite to deal with because for theology students, it’s not just a job, but a passion, especially at a place like Southern, because they want to change the world.Yup, stick with what you're good at Billy.
