Henar´s Blog

Good art is not what it looks like, but what it does to us.

Play it by trust...

This is a very interesting creation by Yoko Ono, the all white chess, a paradox really... The players are supposed to move the different pieces without thinking about a strategy, until they don´t really know which pieces are their own, and which are their opponents´. There´s no winner, and no loser.

Interesting way to lose conscience and just concentrate on "feelings", communication, experimentation and intuition.

Many of her art pieces are instructions for performances, some performed by the artist and others can only be performed by the audience, believing like Marcel Duchamp that the work of art is only partly created by the artist and is completed by the spectator.

Fifineleb, ella se supone que juega contra otra persona, pero verdaderamente al avanzar el juego resulta imposible que haya un vencedor y un vencido...
