Good art is not what it looks like, but what it does to us.

Communication

My brother sent me a very interesting video a couple of weeks ago, and I was watching it again this morning and thinking about it. It´s a very funny trick a math teacher did during one of his Nature of Math classes at Biola University.

This is a great example of a good and effective communication technique! A great way to make a boring class be interesting.

As Walt Disney said: "I would rather entertain and hope that people learned something than educate people and hope they were entertained".

I think that when experiences associated with maths learning are fun, the learners are more likely to have a positive attitude towards the task of learning, and are therefore more likely to excel.

When writing the above sentence, I inadvertently raised a question for myself: Is learning a task?
