Good art is not what it looks like, but what it does to us.

So you need a Typeface...

With this diagram, designers will have it easier to choose a Typeface for their projects.
Funny way to show the difficulty designers usually have when they have to choose a Typeface.
In my opinion, there are a couple of reasons why this task is so hard:
1. Most of the designers don´t have a good knowledge of Typography, so it makes it quite difficult to work when you don´t really control the instruments you have.
2. There are soooooooo many different Typefaces you sometimes get lost trying to decide which one to use.
3. Some designers believe that if the Typeface is complex, weird and original, it will definitely look better. This is ALMOST NEVER the case.
4. Some designers don´t understand the importance of Typography, so they just use the first Typeface they find and, of course, destroy their work!

Yeah, well, there are two problems with typography on the Web: current-gen browsers have to rely on whatever fonts are available on each visitor's computer, and with next-gen browsers that can download Web fonts (or Flash, that can embed them) there is the issue of licensing.

True. I guess in the future this will have to change. It´s still too difficult and expensive.

Interesting links. It would be nice to see the diagram (above) at full size.
