I had no idea I could hold so much!
Howdy Doo people!
My blog posts are few and far between these days. I know I know. I've become a horrible blogger!
I FINALLY received my package of delicious treats from Super Gavum today
Thanks Gavin! I really thought they'd been stolen (since someone was stealing ours and our neighbors mail before Christmas) and was so happy to see it hadn't been.
It was lil holey, taped up, and has been traveling about America since December 17 according to the postmark, but I guess some sight seeing was in order.
We got our first snow kind of unexpectedly last night. It snowed sideways.
The temperature dropped about 30 degrees over a few hours and suddenly -- snow! It's been quite mild here this winter so far so I suppose it was bound to happen.

I've been off work all this week due to some not so fun health issues that have suddenly arisen. I was feeling a little 'off' last week but wasn't too concerned. Then we went out to eat Friday night. We ate Mexican. MEXICAN. As in beans, steak, cheese, tomatoes, jalapenos, onions, chips, salsa and guacamole. I wasn't home 10 minutes before the vomit arrived. I lost count but I threw up 35-40 times from 8:30 Friday night to 4am Saturday morning. Not a lot of fun I have to tell ya. And completely wrecked the romance of date night.
But fear not, I was not harboring alien spawn or anything quite so exotic. Turns out my gall bladder is clogged up with some sludge (yes that's the medical term) and inflamed and that high fat meal just pushed it over the edge. So I'm off to meet with a surgeon next Tuesday afternoon and until then I'm on antibiotics and a no fat diet. No dairy, no meats... and no Swedish chocolates!
Oh well, I don't feel much like eating anyway.
I have become quite the expert on Jello though. So far my favorite is raspberry, followed by cherry.
What is JELL O?
(link for those who don't know what Jello is, nice when your ill)
All I have to say is... they'd better get rid of this no cake digesting evil organ.

Breathing is GOOD
This free advertisement is brought to you by Hermitess's nose...
I have horrible sinus problems and terrible allergies (pollen, mold and such) which leads to a lot of snot, snoring, and lack of oxygen (which probably explains much of my behavior
). A coworker told me about this stuff:
It's called Kelly's Soaps Sinus Salts and Sinus Stick. Holy guacamole it works SO WELL! It smells like spearmint gum but has peppermint, euchalyptus and other things mixed in. I ordered this on Sunday evening and on Tuesday mid day it was in my mailbox already! Go Kelly!
Find it here: Kelly's Soaps
In other news, Magnus is hurt. AGAIN.
No wonder I'm getting gray hairs now. In the past three months he nearly got killed by two German Shepard dogs, ripped a toe nail off which then got infected, and this morning sparred with Kitteh and has scratches all over his face (which hopefully will not get infected
). Poor Kitteh, I thought he must have hurt her but it appears he got the worse end of it
She seems fine, but she should have moved when she saw him running at her! She knows better!
It's rainy and cold and dreary here. *sigh*
How is it at your house?

A GREAT AD !!!!
Whether you own a dog or not, you must appreciate the efforts of this owner to sell her dog.
Read the sales pitch below!
Dog For Sale
Free to good home. Excellent guard dog. Name is Jethro.
Owner cannot afford to feed him anymore, as there are no more drug pushers, thieves, murderers, or molesters left in the neighborhood for him to eat.
Most of them knew Jethro only by his Asian-street-name, Ho Lee Schitt.

Thou Shalt NOT Hurt MY Dog!, Magnus
prayers, healing thoughts, and/or positive vibes our way please.
We have a pack member down!
I repeat a pack member is down!
Magnus is burning through his 9 lives. I know he's not a cat but he seems to have extra lives...
Anyway, my Jack Russell was attacked this morning by 2 German Shepards and his crazy best friend (that would be me) came to his aid. God must have made me a lot scarier than I actually am because I managed to intimidate 3 adult German Shepard dogs. Two were attacking Magnus and one was in between me and them, growling at me, so I hit it as hard as I could across the face with the doubled up leash while yelling NO!! at all of them and I wasn't backing off. My little white shadow was screaming in pain and that was completely unacceptable. I made them nervous enough that they let him go. He came to me, I took him in and gently cleaned him up. Then off we went to the vet. He has stitches in four places (throat, across his back) and looks awful, but he is alive will be ok eventually. He has some deep punctures although none of them hit anywhere seriously damaging. It was scary and I thought they were going to kill him. You have no idea the relief I felt when he stood up, wobbly, and came to me.
He is sedated now and resting quietly.
