I Stole It

:left:
Ok, I admit, I'm a thief!! :bandit:

It stole this from Moira

:right:

Sorry Moira. This was too good not to share.

A Scottish couple decided to go to Spain to thaw out during a particularly icy winter. They planned to stay at the same hotel where they spent their honeymoon 20 years earlier.

Because of hectic schedules, it was difficult to coordinate their travel schedules. So, the husband left Glasgow and flew to Barcelona on Thursday, with his wife flying down the following day. The husband checked into the hotel. There was a computer in his room, so he decided to send an email to his wife. However, he accidentally left out one letter in her email address, and without realizing his error, sent the email.

Meanwhile, somewhere in Blackpool, a widow had just returned home from her husband's funeral. He was a minister who died following a heart attack.

The widow decided to check her email expecting messages from relatives and friends. After reading the first message, she screamed and fainted.

The widow's son rushed into the room, found his mother on the floor, and saw the computer screen which read:

To: My Loving Wife
Subject: I've Arrived
Date: October 16, 2008

I know you're surprised to hear from me. They have computers here now and you are allowed to send emails to your loved ones.

I've just arrived and have been checked in. I see that
everything has been prepared for your arrival tomorrow.

Looking forward to seeing you then! Hope your journey is as uneventful as mine was.

P.S. F***ing hot down here!

Pig Drawing

Hiya!
Please clicky here to draw a pig and learn about your personality!

Draw A Pig -- OINK

Go, draw! I'll wait.

*gets snack*

I drew too, this is what I learned: [it's talking about where and how you draw the pig]

Facing left, you believe in tradition, are friendly, and remember dates (birthdays, etc.)
**My fist instinct was to draw the pig facing left, but then drew it facing me instead, so this is all that changed if I had drawn it to the left**

Toward the middle of the frame, you are a realist.
Facing front, you are direct, enjoy playing devil's advocate and neither fear nor avoid discussions.
With few details, you are emotional and naive, you care little for details and are a risk-taker.
With 4 legs showing, you are secure, stubborn, and stick to your ideals.
The size of the ears indicates how good a listener you are. You are a good listener.

I'm already feeling the weather changes that are coming. Apparently there is a hurricane called Ida making landfall soon. This will shove a bunch of wet weather north into the states. yaay :left: I already feel worse so I dunno what is up with that. It's cloudy and warm again today. Rather nice actually.

Thanksgiving is coming up and I'm having the feast at my house. We rarely celebrate holidays at our house. Usually we pack up and make the 3 hour trip to our families. TG is the one holiday we've kind of claimed for our own in the past couple of years. But, my parents and brother and his wife are joining us this year. My MIL is unable to come due to her ailing father. (She's such a good daughter, she takes care of him full time!) Sooo, it will be a smallish affair and everyone is bringing food to add to the bit I'm making. It should be fun. :D

Enjoy your week!

Gavin work on your cards.

Lucy, wear earplugs to work if necessary!

Bianca, good luck on your exams! :D

Henry, drink more coffee  p:

Ok, whoever the smarty is that marked they'd comment on my poll if I DID NOT talk about the "kids" better get typing. p:

Guess What!

Yes, I've been blogging for a whole year! :hat:

I went back and had a look at my first several posts. Not very interesting. They were short and well, short.
As you can see, I've overcome my shyness and now babble on about dogs, Hermit, fibro, food, purses, and whatever else strikes my fancy. Well, I thought I'd share with you some of my early favorite posts.

My very first post, November 9, 2008:
Gee Your Hair Smells Terrific!

Can I Have It?

:wizard:

Hey, Happy, uh, What Day Is It Again?

So I've been in my cave about a week. Yes a week. *sigh* I keep poking my head out to do a bit of errand running or housework but then I quickly scurry back inside. I thought today was Tuesday. I told Hermit today was Tuesday this morning. Homer: Doh! I hope that doesn't confuse his day. :left:

I'm feeling better I think. Health-wise. I'm eating and it's not upsetting my stomach. I think I had a stress/grief/:no: induced illness. :yuck: Still seem to be cranky though. My MIL suggested I watch funny movies, which I have done, and they help for a while. The weirdest things seem to be hilarious to me now. I'm just a big ol' ball of spaztic lately. :jester: Anyone have funny movie suggestions? I've watched many with Will Ferrel, Jim Carrey, and several others.

I also want to say  THANK YOU  to everyone! My family and Opera family have been super supportive and understanding of my grief of Sun's passing last Wednesday. He was/is a definate part of my family. awww

Today it is nice again, a bit cool, but not bad. I'm planning to go over to the park later and take my journal and Bible. There is a nice big pine tree I used to sit under several times a week when I had cancer. Perhaps I should visit my old needly friend and get my head cleared out. Going to the park and walking with the dogs did me wonders on Monday. Next week is supposed to be cool and rainy so I'd better get out there!

I'm wondering if there are special things you do to meditate/pray/clear your mind etc when you are stressed or upset or sad? I've been kind of thinking on these things. I am not Catholic but I do find their traditions soothing. It's like they have an answer to every situation. My church is nondenom so we pretty much stick to the basics, which I generally enjoy more, but sometimes I wish I had a special prayer or ritual to do for those I miss. I've been thinking of getting a prayer locket.

:D :D :D Hope you all are having a fantastic week! :D :D :D

MTV Down -- In Response to "Reality Bites"

Bianca here is the video I was talking about. You were right on with your imaginary producers conversation!

"MTV DOWN" from SuperNews on Current.com

Frikkity Frik FRIK!

Proceed with caution....

Yeah, mostly just me being grouchy and venting. If being supportive or delighting in others misery is not your thang, then turn away! Away with you! :knight:
