Little Rays of Light

my day
I've been sick for a few days with some wretched sinus thing. I thought on Saturday it was gone, but it was only resting, gaining power to way-lay me on Sunday.
Hermit is feeling better though and returned to work today
I felt decent this morning and had a list of errands to do. They were piling up from the past few days that I didn't get out or get chores done.
So off I go this morning
merrily on my way to do stuff.
(and yes this included mailing the trade cards!) It ended up taking me 3+ hours to go to the post office, the vets office, Hastings for movies, Braum's for milk and ice cream, Walmart for a few groceries and other things, and to buy feed for Sun. During this time, the sinus headache joined forces with my nemesis, FibroMonster, and began to torture me needlessly. Everything hurts! I could not get home fast enough.
Lastly, I picked up the mail on my way in. This was my train of thought:
I'm almost home, thank God! There sure is a lot of mail today. What did we get? Junky catalog, I'll recycle that. Bill. Junk mail, Junk mail. Bank Statements, I need to look at those. Bill. Hmm, this is odd, whose hand writing is that? Cool stamps! Very colorful... ... ... South AFRICA??!!!! Why am I getting mail from Africa?
YAY it's from Bianca! I wasn't expecting anything so soon!

There's more, better see the rest...
Bill
Postcard? ... ... OMG! It's from Gavin!
... ... London... ha ha ... I got a postcard from a guy who is orginally from Ireland, lives in Sweden, however was visiting family in England when he mailed this.
Weee.... two postcards!!!
So you see, these small gestures from friends I've never met who live across the globe just made my day. I was greatly cheered by getting mail.
The Lesson? Send a card or letter to someone you care about. It's so uplifting to get 'real' mail unexpectedly!

If I could just learn to really draw....

Henry I can't draw either, as you will soon see, no drawing! Which is leaving me to wonder how the heck I'm going to do the cartoon characters!

Will have to wait a while to get it, it is quite popular. I know I have a creative streak, it's just learning how to tap into it more effectively.

Henry that sounds like a good idea.
I can actually draw a little if I'm looking at a picture I can draw a copy sort of well (and not by tracing LOL) So I may try to draw the cartoon characters if I can find photos online.
Am I allowed to make robotdog and flatulencedog into cartoons? They'd be great! LOL
Sarah, of course! My address is in your inbox.
You mean Texas isn't it's own country
I mail people I just never get mail back so this will be much more fun for me!
