If Only I Were As Cool As My Dogs Think I am!

Welcome To My Somewhat Coherent Babbling

Art Therapy

,

In between naps and feeling fibro-crappy, I decided to look and see how others deal with this (constructively) and found some paintings and art related therapies.

All of these were made by women who have Fibromyalgia as therapy to help them deal with the life changing effects of FM. They are very good and I found it encouraging to see others finding ways to express themselves and have a hobby they enjoy. up

This painting is very expressive!
The artist was very direct with her feelings.

Another one that showcases the artists'
frustration with living with FM.

This one is a digital art piece,
and rather whimsical don't you think?

Ahh... naps are the best!

You know I like this painting on a
porcalen (help, can't spell!) plate.

Veil Dancer
I really like this one! Very pretty

Yay for scrapbooking!

This is one of my favorite hobbies,
although I'm getting behind.
One day I will feel like it and will
get started on catching up.

They are amazing. I love art...I love looking at it, and creating things myself. This is such a wonderful way to let out feelings that are otherwise unspoken feelings. Making it solid is almost like seeing God in person...you can see your feelings on a surface...

Zaphira I thought of you when I saw the cat, so that one was especially for you to see. smile

Sarah I agree! I like looking at art and especially at something like these pieces. When someone puts their emotions onto the canvas it can be so interesting to see what develops.

These are great pieces. I feel their frustration and pain, and all the turmoil caused from it.
You know that's why I started writing, because I had no release from all I was experiencing. It took over 8 years to get a diagnoses of Fibromyalgia. Those were the toughest 8 years of my life. worried

Thanks Fibrosister for sharing these. I have never been an artist, but I can certainly appreciate it! bigsmile

Lovely. I like the porclan (? - *googles* ah, porcelain!) horse too, very much. I know you said that you draw stick horses, but have you ever considered doing a little more than that? smile

I'm glad you liked D. I thought of us writing our diddies/poems and trying to make them into a picture.

Adele, I do have a few color drawings but they are not very good. LOL I'm not so good at drawing. p
