Anniversary
Yes, I've been blogging for a whole year!
I went back and had a look at my first several posts. Not very interesting. They were short and well, short.
As you can see, I've overcome my shyness and now babble on about dogs, Hermit, fibro, food, purses, and whatever else strikes my fancy.
Well, I thought I'd share with you some of my early favorite posts.
My very first post, November 9, 2008:
Gee Your Hair Smells Terrific!
~~And some favorite posts from a while back~~
Drama Queen Hermitess goes Christmas shopping:

My near death experience:

Quote, Horse, Anniversary
Today is the 21 year anniversary of when my parents gave Sun to me as a birthday gift. I pretty much grew up on his back. I had many, many happy hours riding him over the trails and roads available to me.
I can close my eyes and be right back there, feeling the warm sunshine on my face, the movement of his gait, the leather reins in my hands, hearing the squeak of my saddle, the soft clop of his hooves, smelling the fresh air...
Sun had been abused some before we got him and I promised him I would never sell him, that I would always take care of him so he would be safe. I kept my promise.
(He's shedding his winter coat in these photos taken on May 6, 2009)
"The wind of heaven is that which blows between a horses ears." ~ Arabian Proverb
"And God took a handful of southerly wind, blew his breath over it and created the horse."
~ Bedouin Legend
Is it the smell of their body as I hug their long neck,
or the scent only a horse has that I can't forget?
Is it the depth of their eyes as they contentedly rest?
No, it's just being around them that I like best.
