What's On Your Plate?

What the he** are we eating?
Here in the USA, fiber seems to be creeping it's way into a lot of products. You know fiber, the brooms of the body, sweeping all the bad stuff out. I've seen it in the obvious - cereal, toaster pastries, oatmeal, bread - and the sneeky sneeky - sugar, drinks, cookies.
Are we really this constipated?
So I'm wondering what everyone's daily diet is basically. Now you don't need to list item by item. I'm just curious, veggies? Meat? Whole Grains? Beer? Pizza?
I suppose I have whole grains covered with granola cereals and whole grain toast for breakfast. I try to begin the day healthy. Plus whole grain breads for anything else, and whole grain pastas.
I do a fair bit with fresh fruit. Fresh grapes, cherries, watermelon, blackberries, strawberries, peaches, pineapple=YUM.
Veggies, not so much. I tend to stick with potatoes, raw organic carrots, canned asparagus, and baby raw spinach.
Meat I'm cutting back on. I usually eat chicken mostly. Pork 2nd, then beef.
Dairy products....eh, ice cream mostly. Milk for my cereal. Not a big milk drinker. I use the "healthy" butters and spreads made from olive oils now.
Sugar. Yes please. This I try hard to keep controlled. It's not working.
So my daily diet goes something like this: (in order from am to pm)
Healthy high fiber cereal with 2% Milk
Carrots/salad or wrap for lunch. (wrap includes, chicken, cheese, raw red onion, raw spinach, and spicy garlic sauce on whole wheat tortilla) with sweetened green tea
Ice cream cone
fresh fruit
Dinner of a small meat, bread, and one or 2 fresh veggies or a pasta, with sweetened green tea.
fresh fruit
salty chips or something sweet
water here an there

Lest I forget my favorite food of all.
Deep Fried Anything!
Crunchy, salty goodness complete only with a creamy dip. I'm getting hungry just describing it.
Well this food certainly "looks" like it should be tastier!
It's so colorful!
So my parting thoughts are this.
Live foods. These are natural foods that have not been cooked or processed. This is what we need to feed our bodies. Our bodies can use these, they are nutritious and supply enzymes, vitamins, minerals, fiber and probably other things we aren't even aware of.
Dead foods. Are, well, dead. They are cooked and processed until there is nothing of value left. Funny this seems to be our preferred choice.
NOTE: Shortly after writing this post, Hermitess was sighted in the drive thru of McDonald's, Kentucky Fried Chicken, and Red Rock Bakery. You can visit with her further at the DeepFried Rehab Center where she will be receiving 24-hour therapy including the anti-exploding colon IV fiber-plus drip.
