Party of One, Your Frozen Pizza Is Ready

,

Hi there friends! I hope all my American pals enjoyed their Thanksgiving holiday and didn't explode their stretchy pants. I did! Enjoy the holiday that is. I didn't explode my pants but I sure gave it a go in trying to.

This is going to be a random post. Yes, randomness! I know you are just giddy with glee

1- Magnus went for his 3 month lab work and Dr. Vet says his platelets are better than before. yay! He is off antibiotics now and if he can make it a year without a relapse he will have very little chance of the illness ever reoccurring. Joy! (Magnus, my JRT, got an illness last summer from a tick that caused his red blood cells to die quickly. We treated him but the illness quickly came back, so he was put on 3 months of antibiotics and vitamins and special food suppl.)

2- I ate a frozen pizza for dinner with green salad, celery, and tomato on the side. Sounded good but my stomach didn't like it. :frown:

3- Thanksgiving was fun  The fibro is punishing me for it. A cold front came through Saturday night and that pushed me right over into flared up. Homer: Doh! Now, tomorrow it will be around 58*F and sunny, and then on Wednesday it will be 39*F and a rain/snow mix. :frown: More fun. So here I am, tired and a bit achy sitting in the dark, one dog asleep on my foot the other by my side and Hermit snoring away. Life is good.

4- Tomorrow I go see Dr. Fabulous (formerly Dr. Pokeypants) for my usual follow up on trying a new medication. I've been trying out Savella, which is being marketed as a Fibromyalgia medication. It seems to be helping, my pain level is down and my mood is happy (no depressive times while flared up). I say Savella joins my stable of Fibro warriors.

5- Do you ever crave foods? Right now I'm craving fruity things. I made a yummy dessert that uses 1 can cherry pie filling, 1 can crushed pineapple (without the juice), 1 tub of Cool Whip, and a handful of pecans. Put all of it in a bowl and mix together. You will get a pink fluffy yummy dessert! Hermit swears it smells like butt. :irked: I only smell pineapple. Oh well, this means I get to eat it all! Woo Hoo!

6- Ms. Lucia is doing fine. I noticed today she was dirty with grass so this means she laid down and rolled and/or napped. This is good! This means she is getting comfortable enough to get off of her feet for a while. We are bonding well. :D Bella is trying to bond with her too. She invited Lucy to play today and was very enthusiastic in her request. It was very endearing to see my 7lb dog invite the 800lb new horse to play. Lucy, unfortunately, was not amused and did not enjoy the wee little white creature that was growling and barking and darting about her hooves. I called Bella to stop and she did but seemed rather sad and disappointed that she wasn't allowed to play with her new friend. Animals are so funny and cute. flirt

Have a nice week everyone!
bye

Go Outside and Play Damn It!

Just a few random things...

From Moira's blog. I thought this comment she made was perfect.
"NEVER

Never take someone for granted. Hold every person close to your heart, because you may wake up one day and realize that you've lost a diamond, while you were too busy collecting stones....Never forget the ones that care for you and love you the most."
 Feel Better girl, I know you are hurting. ((HUGS))

Odd thing on Bianca's Blog I believe. (Pardon me if I got that wrong, got some serious fibrofog working today)
Vanilla Prunes in South Africa. Really? :yuck: This brings me to wondering (again with the wondering! I know I know) what odd snacks are found around your parts? Let's see... the strangest things we eat that others may find revolting... hmm....

Bull testicles, sliced thinly and deep fried. We have a whole Testicle Festival in my town every May dedicated to just this! And NO my love of all things fried does not reach quite this far.

For your enjoyment, I present the Calf Fry 2009 Logo:

*sigh* yes, it is just a big ol' university party. I suggest you run away, far away!
Unless you enjoy rowdy horny drunks and loud country concerts and lots of bull testicles to snack on. In that case, party on!

Now, it's a beautiful autumn day (summer if you are Bianca) so go outside and PLAY. I am emerging from 5 days in my cave to take the dogs to the park. I think. I plan to, after lunch.

 Have Fun!

Little Edit: Ok, now I feel nauseous. May not take dogs out. May go alone or not at all. ugh.
crawls under blanket
No really, I *need* to get out. Away from this house. out out out! Go run and frolic :D

Somedays are Just Not Good

, ,

I've been having bad days where random things just seem to go wrong! Yesterday, for example, I dropped one of my favorite handcream bottles in the toilet. :yuck:

A few days ago I thought I'd surprise Hermit with a little gift. I ordered him a new game for his Playstation 3. He loves to play video games and will for hours when he has some time off. Well, I've discovered that I ordered the exact same game that I bought him LAST time he got a new game. I forgot to take it off of my list of games he wants. So now when it arrives I must send it back.

Last night I decided to go ahead with dying my hair blond. Apparently my hair does not wish to be blond! I used the same brand of color I always use so I have no clue what happened. Definately NOT blond. I think my hair is about 1 shade lighter (if even that much) with a lot of red highlights in it. I like it! :D Hermit does too actually. yay! I was going to surprise him with a new look and I think he appreciated my efforts even though it didn't work out just right.

Also early this morning I rolled off the bed again and carpet burned my elbow. Homer: Doh! I need safety rails! What is going on with my sleeping habits? Rolling off the bed and kicking and yelling in my sleep?! Crazy!

I noticed on my new, beautiful purse that the outer shell is pulling apart at the seam on the bottom. I'm disappointed as I really like this purse and wanted to carry it a while. :frown: I will keep it though because it supports someone far away trying to make a living. I hope to find a way to sew it back together. (Mum, this is where you come in! )

I have spilled 2 glasses of water on the counter in the past few days. Meds are fine when they get wet right? :left: Then today I turned the garbage disposal on without the little stopper thingie in the drain and water and food spewed all over me and the counter! CheeseandRice I make the biggest messes sometimes.

Today I mostly relaxed. It's dreary again -- cooler (45F) and drizzly. I did do a couple of things but I took a 3 hour nap earlier. When I woke, I was confused and thought it was morning because of the lighting and time (7:00). I was trying to reason it out for a moment before I remembered I couldn't remember the night before because it hadn't happened yet! fekkin' fibromyalgia. Messes with my memory. Don't you love how you get a thorough complaint on life with the FibroMonster on each post? Oh, but it is my life unfortunately. It can be entertaining :D

Suggestions Please!

, ,

Hi all! :D

I'm just beginning my day. The dogs and horse and myself have all been fed. Now we are just hanging out on the warm, now heated comfy bed listening to the rain and the radio. The dogs have just begun their morning wrestling match. They have so much fun!

Just a little news:

:star: The rain IS louder on our new metal roof. I was wondering because Hermit had them put an extra layer of insulation under it. It's a nice sound but I can't hear it unless it rains fairly hard.

:star: Bella got a new collar. It's silver and has little "diamonds" on it. She looks cute in it. Her old one is so dirty, I will try and clean it up.

:star: Magnus continues to improve. He has his off days, like yesterday, where he just wants to sleep but many days, like today, he is playing and acting like he feels well. He has gained some weight but has a bit more to go. He has been stealing my blanket at nights :bandit: Hairy little blanket stealer!

:star: I'm feeling well again. By "well" I mean the sinus problems seems to be mostly gone. The fibro and CF are still everpresent. It occurred to me yesterday that I've always just considered the fibro and chronic fatigue syndrome the same things, which they are not. I have both. BOO! I guess the CF is what knocks me down for days after I'm active. BOO! My nemesis has a side kick! Sneeky

:star: I'm not sleeping well again. Insomnia, nightmares, restless legs, apparently I kick in my sleep now, ect... Yesterday during a nap/nightmare I managed yell out and to kick the tv tray next to the bed that Gert is on and bruised my shin. Oh, and I think scared the dogs. I felt really bad about that! and since they usually are asleep on or near my legs, one got thrown in the floor. :frown: Homer: Doh! I think she jumped on my legs though and that is why I kicked because I was fighting in my dream. I had some ninja skills in this dream! Usually I can't defend myself (can't breathe, move, ect...) but apparently now I'm full on kicking some arse! Go me!

:star: Yesterday evening I was watching movies. I watched 'Pride and Prejudice'. It is based on the book by Jane Austin of the same title. I really like this movie and the book. There are several versions, but this one is the most recent I believe and stars Keira Knightly and Donald Sutherland. I love movies that are historically correct. I enjoy studying the clothing, cultural habits, and buildings. They are usually fictional stories and that's just fine by me. I also watched 'Memoirs of a Geisha'. This one is also based on a book. The book was very good as is the movie. Women living in Japan at this time didn't seem to have many options or choice in where they ended up in their lives. It did make me realize where I'm at is just fine and ok. I'm always boo-hooing to myself about not having a career. I had never considered not having one before getting ill. Sooo this is a reoccuring issue in my mind. But, my point is that I'm hardly the only woman that got put in a situation I did not choose and must deal with that. (Not that it's bad, life is quite relaxed here in Casa de Brown with my little dogs and heated bed  )

If anyone has a movie suggestion of this type (historical fiction) that you can recommend, I'd appreciate it. I have been wanting to see the movies made from Jane Austin books and others similar. I'm getting a movies I want to see list started for the winter.

Feeding My Obsession

And no it's not the purse or caramel or cake or dog obsession.

:D

How's your week going?

Mine. meh.

Hey did you know yesterday was the first day of autumn? Or the day before yesterday. :left: whatever.
It sure feels like it here. Right now it's only 51 degress F. Chilly!

I got to wear my new $8 flannel shirt today. Yay! I love flannel. It's actually short sleeved so it wasn't overkill.

Yay Hermit got me a surprise. Can you guess what it is?
Yes, it's my "other" obession, the SIMS. This version is much more advanced (and sooo cool) compared to the past versions. I haven't quite figured it out. Although I am impressed that my little-laptop-that-could, Gert, is performing like a champion with SIMS2 basic, SIMS2 expansion packs Garden & Mansion, Nightlife, Pets, Weather, and Vacation PLUS now SIMS3 basic. I thought I was probably pushing the memory limits before I put the last SIMS2 expansion pack on, and was just "testing" when I loaded SIMS3 on... wow they are all up and running with no problems! Go GERT!

The rest of my past few days haven't been exciting so I won't bore you with those details. Although I am having problems sleeping lately, which explains why I'm blogging at 2:30am. Homer: Doh!
I don't feel very well either and that's not helping. :frown: (sinuses clogged, check!; general malaise, check!; nightmares when I do sleep, check!; headache pounding, check!; desire to run away to a mountain spa and be pampered and relax, check!)

Here's an odd photo I thought I'd throw in.
It's a goat, or ram or whatever entry way into somewhere. p:
(wow I should totally write for Travel Magazine!)

Counting On My Fingers & Toes

Today I decided to count my blessings. :D

And not the obvious ones everyone can guess I'm going to say.

No, I'm going for the lesser known blessings... the ones that often get overlooked.
