If Only I Were As Cool As My Dogs Think I am!

Welcome To My Somewhat Coherent Babbling

It's a Fatty Autumn Day!

,

Such a lovely day! I went to my doctor's appointment and then did some errands. Afterwards, I partook in a walk by the lake. If it weren't such a blustery day, I think it would have been very nice. :D

My doctor's appointment was just my standard 3 month follow up to get my meds taken care of. I discovered while there I have gained more weight. I did not bring it to Dr. Pokeypants' attention that I have solidly hit the top healthy weight allowed for my height and build. I fear I shall tip toe past during the holidays. :insane: (Note: Dr. Pokeypants will be renamed as he has taken measures to speed up his patients wait time  He shall now be referred to as Dr. Fabulous because he is very nice, takes time for everyone and gave me a bunch of free meds today  I have always really liked him)
:sst: I will blame this all on Hermit! It's his fault for buying me this blasted comfortable heated bed with an LCD tv opposite and Gert too! That is a recipe for comfort and not wanting to move. p:

SO, after finishing my errands I went for a walk by the lake for some exercise (shh! don't tell the dogs I went without them.) Since it's becoming yellow, red, and orange around here I thought I'd share the autumn-ness of it all!

Pretty pretty trees changing to yellow on the south side of the lake.

Lovely wild flowers!

I like the color

These red leaves were such a contrast to the large cedar trees behind them.

There was a yellow butterfly fluttering about, but I was unable to get it in the picture.

No, it's not a roll someone threw aside! It's a mushroom!
I don't know what these are called but I used to love to step on them and watch the eerie green powder inside come puffing out.

This is probably my favorite photo of the day.

This flock of geese was munching on grass as I passed by.
They are always here, attracted to the lake and large grassy areas.

I walked out onto the large dock and took this photo. It's very windy today and the water is quite choppy. I thought the sunlight reflecting off the water was nice.

Lastly, back home again, with my little pack. :D
My attempt for a pack picture didn't work out.
I'm not sure what they are doing, but it kinda looks like they are trying to make out. nervous
Don't mind the silly human....

What very nice surroundings you have - looks like a very nice walk.

I like the pack picture! :D

Hey - didn't you step on the mushroom to see the green come out? I would have!

Looks great! The colours this time of year is the only good thing about autumn. I especially love the red leaves!

Eerie green powder? :eyes:

Hermitess 20. October 2009, 19:28

Thanks Zaphira! I should have and taken a photo!

Thank you Gavin :D

Yes Rose, eerie green powder. :eyes:
I will have to get a photo and show you. I seriously do not know the purpose of that, seed maybe? Anyone know?!

Heh, going for a walk without the dogs  That is a terrible, terrible crime! :yikes: (At least our dogs think so. The only thing that is worse is taking one without the other :insane:)

Nice shots of the home front - even the silly human. p:

Well Adele I was already out running errands and didn't feel like driving home and back again so I just went on my own. :left: I felt kind of naked without them there with me though!

Thank you Henry p: I should give up on the portrait. But I am determined that someday, yes someday, I will post a fabulous photo of wonderfully behaved Magnus and Bella posing with the silly human and we will all look spectacular!

Henry 21. October 2009, 03:26

I will not hold my breath for the possibility of your "wonderfully behaved dogs".
You, silly human, will always look spectacular!

Thank you Henry :o:

Geese eat grass?? :eyes: Hmm have never actually given thought to what they eat! Geese grazing gradually on green grass!

Hermitess 21. October 2009, 14:36

Well I think they eat the grass seeds actually. :D I would have thought they'd eat little fish as much as they are on the water.

Gavin Sheedy 21. October 2009, 15:23

Swans too, I discovered on Saturday, when I saw a mob of black swans doing just that.

Hermitess 21. October 2009, 18:00

Actually, now that I think on it, I've seen ducks at the university pond eating grass seeds as well. I suppose they all do it then.
