If Only I Were As Cool As My Dogs Think I am!

Welcome To My Somewhat Coherent Babbling

Ready - Set - Babble!!

Hey Opera Gang! :D

I know I'm getting slow in my blogging, but there is only so much to tell when I stay home all day. ;p

I have some random things to share:

1- Why did Billy Mays die? No one will tell me!

2- Friday we went to see a good friend graduate from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol Academy. It was really neat! I'm so glad he fulfilled his lifelong ambition and had the full support of his wife and boys despite having to live away from them for 4 months. Yay he's home home home again and they are off enjoying a much earned family vacation. Welcome back J!
T you are one heck of a lady to keep up with everything you do. flirt

3- I've been a bit cranky. People just get on my nerves sometimes. People take so much for grantide.

4- Once again I'm trying to eat less sugary stuff. Why do I even bother p: As always trying to eat better and exercise a bit more. On the upside, it's nearly July so this means I am entering my "good" weeks. July - mid to late September are usually the weeks when I feel the best out of the year. The hotter it is, the better I feel! Unfortunately then it is too suffocatingly hot here to do anything outdoors. Oh well, I'm just grateful these days are almost here. :D :D

5- This week I start working on Wednesdays again. I'm not sure I'm ready to worry about that much, but they want me to come back so I will. It's good for me to get out and visit anyway; I am definately becoming quite a hermit these days.

6- Still waiting on my fabulous new bag from Peru to come. It takes up to 3 weeks so I must wait longer. :frown:
About the bag:
Faustino Maldonado uses traditional weaving techniques to craft this shoulder bag, a veritable Andean dream.
Faustino Maldonado was born in Hualhuas. Because his parents and grandparents were artisans, he learned at an early age to weave on rustic looms, to prepare the warp using the pushca, and spin on the rueca. Maldonado's work is a representation of the art that has been passed down from generation to generation within his family. The family motto has been, "I will never let go of either my grandfather or grandson's hands, for what I have learned from the elders, I will teach to the young."

What is WORLDSTOCK?
Around the world there are artisans who know how to make exquisite centerpiece items. Yet they have trouble accessing the US market because they are small-lot producers in an age of mass distribution. Often there is no way to get goods from their remote villages to here, and when there is, too many layers of mark-up make them unaffordable. The tragedy is that if we bought their goods, the artisans could prosper without abandoning their native crafts and culture, and without depending on charity.

7- I hope everyone wished Jarka well before she left for Kenya to do her volunteer work. She was very excited and I think it's sooo neat of her to do that. Follow her trip here --->>Clicky for Jarka!

8- The dogs send warm furry hugs and greetings to everyone. Magnus is the sweet, loyal boy he always is while Bella is still getting into mischief. She is improving on her behavior steadily and will *someday* be as well behaved as Mags (he was quite the troublemaker as a pup himself!) Happily Bella has lost that worried, scared look from her eyes, although she still gets nervous if she thinks she is in trouble. Sun looks for Bella to come and eat with him now but I don't let her until he's nearly finished because she will eat right out of his feed pan with him! :sst: Trust me, you do not want to deal with a dog who has eaten her weight in Senior Horse Feed. The next 24 hours result in horse sized volume of poo. :yuck:

9- Tonight is wing night.

This concludes today's entry.
Have a good rest of the week everyone!!

I like the bag!!!!

And I envy you for felling well when it's hot. It's only 26 celsius degrees here and I am BOILING!!

Like Rose-Marie said, there is a lot to share! I've actually spent the last 45 minutes or so reading Jarka's "living BIG" blog and leaving a message. Amazing. Thanks for the note or I never would have known!

I hear ya about waiting for the bag. It looks absolutely fabulous. I just ordered a bicycle from Florida on Monday and it may not arrive until week after next (they only ship to Canada on Tuesdays).

So how did your day at work go? Hope you are feeling better! Be blessed!!

My new bag is on it's way! It got shipped yesterday so only a few more days. I'm anxious for it to arrive!!

Henry my work day went great, I dropped my water bottle 3 or 4 times and babbled for a while but other than that covered up my clumsy ways pretty well
