If Only I Were As Cool As My Dogs Think I am!

Welcome To My Somewhat Coherent Babbling

2009

You all be careful in your celebrating!

The new year snuck up on me! I've been so busy this past week that I wasn't really thinking about the date. Now am off work for 7 glorious days! I've got lots of housework to catch up on, but also some rest.

We don't celebrate New Years. Usually we go to bed before its even midnight. What are you doing to celebrate?

2008 BROUGHT ME...
~to work at a new agency & a raise!
~Much deep thought about who I am now & accepting that.
~a church home
~my neice & nephew (ages 13 & 15) to live with us for 9 weeks.
~new job for Hermit
~many lunch & dinner dates with friends.
~our 12th wedding anniversary. I guess I will keep him. p:
~the my opera community :D
~improved my golf game.
~went to the county fair, Celtic festival, movies, horse show, horse pulling competition, air show, & fall festival.
~danced in a grass skirt :eyes:

Resolutions anyone?

I think mine will be to grasp reality & put what's best for my health first. I'm stubborn & spent 5 years pretending I'm well & normal, because I never wanted to accept my health issues. Think I'm ready to stop fighting a loosing battle & just be me...

 :queen:

For the first time as a grown-up I went to bed before midnight
I had a sore throat and a slight headache and could just not face another 5-6 hours (even with my own family and our best friends).

No New Years´resolutions here - I just wish I can have a book published (but it is not the first time I have tried - so let´s see).

Happy New Year to you and your family

Being sick with a sore throat and cough the last few days, I've had to miss out on New Year's Eve with Zarabanda at the Pearl Art Gallery (Hamilton, ON, Canada). Don't want to pass anything along in a crowded venue with a smorgasbord of terrific middle eastern cuisine.

So....

I took apart the main speakers at our church to repair a buzzing sound occuring at certain bass frequencies. Poorly soldered wires on terminal strips when the things were built - go figure. They're back to sounding great. Had to carry my toolbox home because I missed the bus. I thought my arms were going to fall off - it's very heavy. It's an awesome thing to give my church the gift of saved audio repair money (like when I fixed the main amp last year).

My only resolution is to be on the lookout for what God's got in store...

Dorte & spicy,

You two get well! It doesn't sound like you had much fun...

But neither did I! And I don't care. p:
