If Only I Were As Cool As My Dogs Think I am!

Welcome To My Somewhat Coherent Babbling

Skunks, Walmart, and Angry Fibro

, ,

Yay! Weekend has arrived! So what kind of adventures are my Opera friends having this weekend?
Things have been kind of busy here off and on.

Yesterday my dad was able to stop by to visit for a few hours. We had a nice lunch out and chattered on until it was time for him to leave. He looked well. My mom was unable to come as she was in a class. :frown:

It's so cold here all of a sudden!! BBRRR As expected the fibro is yelling at me, as if I can do anything about the weather. Stupid Fibro. So, hurrahh, I feel like someone pushed me down that rocky hill again. That's always enjoyable. Hermit has been working nonstop. He worked from 7am Thursday until 2pm Friday -- TODAY. Fortunately he gets to rest until 7am tomorrow and then his lazy bum has to get back to work. p: He's been asleep since 3pm and will probably sleep all through the night. I hope so, he sure needs it!

Last night, of course this happens while I'm alone, some dog was in between my neighbor's house and mine barking like mad at 2am. I turned on the back light but couldn't see anything. I wasn't going out there to look because all of the dogs in my neighborhood are confined so who knows what dog this was. My neighbor, who lives alone and is much braver than I, ventured out a ways to see, but went back in and texted me after seeing my porch light come on. We still don't know what THAT was about, BUT there is a strong skunk smell in between our houses now. It stinks outside. P-hewww! I was afraid maybe her dogs got sprayed but they did not. Perhaps that is what the roaming canine was going on about.

When Hermit got home today he told me of some things he needed to replenish his nonperishable food stash in his work truck. So I drug myself over to Walmart to buy some things. I really did not feel like it but after the hours he puts in, I don't feel my problems are excuse enough NOT to go. So anyway, I started thinking of the People Of Walmart website. I wasn't qualified to grace that website but I was looking a bit funky. I rarely go out with no makeup, but today was one of those days. Pull the baseball cap down low, dab on a bit of concealer, made sure I had clothes on and that they matched, and off I went. I saw a few folks who might make it on those pages but felt it rude to try and snap a photo. Most were only sloppy and needed to brush their hair. One woman walked by and her son started screaming, rendering me temporarily deaf in my left ear (hey, it's ok lady, no need to apologize then or later when you and your brood of FIVE stood in my way for several minutes). The one worth mentioning was the man with the scraggily goatee and long white afro, tamed only by a dirty baseball cap. Not an attractive look!

I saw some of our international friends (from the university) dressed in their native clothing. I find this so interesting. Women in full black burkas, totally covered.

Others in Indian looking clothing similar to this shirt.
The two women I saw were wearing much prettier colored shirts than this though.

Tonight I am watching movies and cuddling with the dogs. I'd cuddle with Hermit but he's sound asleep and snoring and rolling.

I'd like to say a big HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY to my little pal Cody :hat:
and HAPPY :zip: BIRTHDAY to his dad! :hat:

:D :D Also, Thank you for having a Birthday party so I can have cake tomorrow! YAY! :D :D

Sorry to hear about the fibro.

You always wear makeup? I think that girls here only wear it when going out for a night on the tiles, but I'm probably wrong .

I went to state-run Swedish classes here, with folk from all over the world (well, no English, no South African, one American who pretended to be Croatian out of ungrounded fear of the muslimsin the class, but as from the rest of the world as small classes can be  )

If dogs stopped annoying skunks, then they wouldn't get sprayed, would they! p:

rose-marie 24. October 2009, 17:28

I suck when it comes to make up, so I never wear it (except for parties) :o:.

angel292005 24. October 2009, 19:32

Eww a skunk. Have you ever seen them rooting for bugs? They look like they are dancing with their big fluffy tails wagging straight up in the air.

That's sweet that you were able to visit with your dad.

Zaphira 24. October 2009, 19:47

I never leave house without having my "eyes" on (i.e. eye makeup). :D

I'm glad you enjoy time with your dad. Do they live far away?

lixxylu 24. October 2009, 21:33

You made sure you had clothes on? I never think to check that before i leave the house...think of all the times i may have gone out naked??! :insane:

Hermitess 25. October 2009, 01:28

Gavin - If I'm leaving the house I at least put on eye make up. I like to cover the dark under eye circles, and put on a bit of eyeliner or I look like I've been crying. p: I go pretty light on the makeup though, a lot of people think i don't wear any anyway, but if you were to see before and after shots, you'd see the difference! (I always say "enhance what you have, don't cover it up!") That's just me though, many women and girls here are comfortable to go out without any make up at all.

Adele - I think dogs like the smell. :yuck: LOL

Rose - I'm sure you are gorgeous and don't need it anyway

Sarah - Yes, I see their tails shaking around  I think the way they walk is funny, waddeling down the path...
Thank you, it was nice to visit with my dad. :D

Zaphira - Me either! My family live about 160 miles/3 hour drive away. They don't come here often, usually I go there. I wish they would come to visit more :frown:

Lucy - I love that you are such a smart a$$! p: I only said that because the PeopleofWalmart look as though they've forgotten to check what they had on. :eyes: Going out nekked is not a reoccuring problem for me p:

garlingmatthews 25. October 2009, 06:44

And I never wear make up at all .

I have nearly made it out of the building at work with-out shoes a couple of times.

Just going to go and take a cold shower now. p:

Zaphira 25. October 2009, 07:05

Do you wear shoes in the shower? P:

garlingmatthews 25. October 2009, 07:32

Only for very cold ones p:

Zaphira 25. October 2009, 07:40

- And this is where I start regretting that I asked.

Hermitess 25. October 2009, 11:32

Gavin  *wonders where the "your a smarta$$ and I love it" smiley is?*

garlingmatthews 25. October 2009, 12:53

*Lathers up his size 46 vegetarian shoes and wonders what they're talking about, and where that funky smell is coming from* :left:

lixxylu 25. October 2009, 18:41

You love my smartassa$$ :D

And i'm not commenting on your funky smell Gavin

garlingmatthews 25. October 2009, 19:23

 I think that Lucy has a smarter a$$ than me.

Hermitess 25. October 2009, 21:11

Lucy I said you are A not I love YOUR, there is a difference! LOL

:D

lixxylu 25. October 2009, 21:40

No, you said "Lucy i love your smarta$$...i think you are so funny and cool and awesome and did i mention that i love your smarta$$"

Those were your exact words. I think you forgot, but s'okay, i dont mind correcting you...

:D

garlingmatthews 26. October 2009, 11:25

Better than loving your dumba$$

Hermitess 26. October 2009, 15:23

LOLOL Ok well, I must have forgotten. Good I have you here to remind me Lucy!

ShallowMuse 26. October 2009, 15:54

Lindsay! The answer is right there! You should just get a burka to wear to Walmart when you dont feel like dressing up!

angel292005 26. October 2009, 17:30

I saw your status...I hope it eases up soon.

Hermitess 26. October 2009, 22:56

LOL @ Bianca!! You are a problem solver! p:

Thank you Sarah, it's been bad the past couple of days. :frown: Winter is upon us, and so are the nasty aches. flirt

garlingmatthews 27. October 2009, 05:02

Why isn't there a male burka? Can't men be dangerously hot too?

Zaphira 27. October 2009, 05:05

We don't want to cover up dangerously hot looking men!

ShallowMuse 27. October 2009, 05:50

*imagines Gavin in a burka* BWAHAHAHAHA!
But it'd have to be like, a Walmart burka, so a lovely leopard print one will be amazing! :cat:

garlingmatthews 27. October 2009, 11:33

 eller en med massor av naken

Hmm. Try that again Gabhie boy.

Or one with loads of naked men printed on it

lixxylu 27. October 2009, 17:22

Gavin wants a burka with naked men printed on it?
:left:

garlingmatthews 27. October 2009, 17:38

Sort of an antiburka :D

ShallowMuse 27. October 2009, 18:17

eeeeewww! Do you WANT to stay single for the rest of your antiburka wearing days?!!

garlingmatthews 27. October 2009, 20:02

 Okay it was a dum idea. As the burka is supposed to be the antithesis of sexy...

Hermitess 27. October 2009, 20:19

 Why Gavin I didn't realize you wanted hot naked men on your burhka!

  That's funny

garlingmatthews 27. October 2009, 20:24

Something for those Walmart snappers

Hermitess 27. October 2009, 20:26

 I'll have my camera phone hidden and ready to snap!

lixxylu 27. October 2009, 22:07

I'm gonna have nightmares tonight
