If Only I Were As Cool As My Dogs Think I am!

Welcome To My Somewhat Coherent Babbling

Sun

"Somewhere in time's own space
There must be some pastured place
Where creeks sing on and tall trees grow
Some paradise where horses go,
For by the love that guides my pen
I know great horses live again."

Thanks Bianca. I always thought so too.

Thank you Gavin, I really really really needed that.

Animals are like family, so i know your pain :frown:

(i think all horseys like those things :D)

Kitty 28. October 2009, 15:23

I am so sorry for your loss, Hermitess. Truly sorry.

Norfrid 28. October 2009, 16:42

I was hoping for some better news about Sun.
I'm so sorry. :frown:

Hermitess 28. October 2009, 21:21

Thank you everyone

He was 30 years old, almost the same age as myself. He was given to me by my parents when I turned 13 years old. You know I love all my animals, but he was truly considered a part of the family, not only by myself but also my parents as well as Sam. awww I did have enough foresight to tell him good bye last night because I had a bad feeling, but am glad he did not suffer into a frail, sickly old age.

Yes Lucy he did like apples. and skittles. He loved skittles

Adele 28. October 2009, 21:22

Take care, Lindsay

Hermitess 28. October 2009, 21:24

Thank you so much Adele

Sun My Awesome Horse

Oct. 28th 2009

Not only a horse, I loved. . of course,
he WAS the Sun, in my heart, he was. .my awesome horse.

The spirit, that groomed my thoughts, for many years,
Today. . I am trying. . to hold back. . . my tears.

Yet,I know. . that he is running like the wind, far above,
never stopping, I feel his stride in my heart, with love.

Run,. . Sun! Feel the breeze and. . I hear your sound,
The sound that horses make, when their hoofs, hit the gound.

Today was the day, you left for that long, journey's run,
and for years it's been just you & me, and it was so much fun.

Perhaps when the sun rises and starts to brightly shine,
it will be you "Sun", that will ALWAYS be. . on my mind!

You will ALWAYS be an awesome horse, 'forever',in my heart,
the memories and stories we have. . will NEVER part.

I bid you farewell, my 'ole "Sun", my best friend.
And I pray, that we will. . .cross paths one day. . .again.

'Cause I know Sun, where you are, there are green fields of glory. Hold your head up, boy, I'll miss you, but don't worry.

I'll be there boy, right by your side, rubbing your shoulder,
I'll come to you in my dreams, until I grow. . . older.

Then, one day will meet, in those green fields of glory,
and I can tell you, by heart. . of our awesome stories!

I won't say "good-bye", 'cause I will see you again,
Sun 'ole boy. . .you was. . . MY AWESOME FRIEND!

Hope your day has been a little brighter today. May the Angels be at your side. . .ALWAYS! I haven't called today, however; that does, not mean that you have not been in my prayers and on my mind. Sometimes. . .we just need "alone time".

moira 29. October 2009, 23:04

Big hugs to you too. Yes I am good, had my moments today and been quite tearful, but getting stronger x

Hermitess 30. October 2009, 07:38

Thank you MIL. I slept most of the day. Feeling depressed.

Moira I have been praying for you. That is such a sad and tragic thing to have happen. You must miss your friend very much. awww

That's not weird at all. I too believe that pets are family and when you've had someone for 30 years... yes that's tough.
The way you've written about Sun here has shown the good times you've had together, and they will never go away.
