If Only I Were As Cool As My Dogs Think I am!

Welcome To My Somewhat Coherent Babbling

Take This Job And Shove It....I Ain't Workin' Here No More...

(...you know like the country song. :sing: )

Well, after much thought, prayers, and discussion I FINALLY made a decision about my job. The main one anyway. I work at one job 4 hours per week preparing meals for elderly people and seeing that they get delivered to their homes. My second job I work about 16 hours per week with a developmentally disabled woman and this is the one that has begun stressing me. Anyway, I've put in my 2 weeks notice there today but I will remain employed as fill-in staff up to 8 hours every 2 weeks. This gals gotta stop being so stubborn & put her health first.

I am relieved to have done this, more than I initially thought I would be. So yay for me!:drunk:

I'm feeling pretty tired and sore today so off I go to do other restful type things.

bye bye

Have You Seen My Balls?Well This Explains A Lot...

Congratulations!

I am quite sure that when you feel like that, it is a good solution you have made. Are you going to work less then, or are you searching for something new?

And don´t worry, I may leave my opera blog, but not you

YaY for you !!!

Rest well

No I won't look for something new. I really enjoy both of my jobs it's just that I get stressed from people not showing up for their shifts and someone HAS to be there and I get called a lot. Tired of the phone calls!! :furious: But I am too tired and achy and I can't get back to my normal.

Last August my teenaged neice and nephew came to live with us for 9 weeks. We hardly see them and they live in another state. It was a disaster. They behaved very badly and tried to take advantage of us. It was very stressful and really flared the fibro up for about 8 weeks. My doctor says it will take months to get back to "my normal". I just can't seem to get it under control.

I am so happy you will not leave me Dorte!

It's good when you can make a decision that is right for you!
Congratulations! (I just subscribed to your blog...and I apologize if I don't comment often..this dial up is nasty and loading pages on Opera takes forever!)
& I am sorry about your experience with your niece & nephew. Guaranteed if it were my children--they wouldn't have mistreated you or I'd kick their... b**ts!

Thanks Cheryl! I know your children are well behaved. good children require good parents!

Dorte I will visit soon.

Julka thank you & I'm looking forward to getting more rest. Today I must work 4 hours & I REALLY do not feel up for it, but I will go anyway because that's just the way I roll. Homer: Doh!

Hello Lindsay,
The worst thing about being responsible is that some will take advantage of that. You are making the right decision to ensure your health is maintained and to work within the limits you discover on your "stubborn" days. May your health be blessed in your rest.

Hermitess 13. January 2009, 07:39

Unfortunately you are too right Henry!

Thank you for your thoughts & I hope you are doing well.

I've watched my dad on his "stubborn" days with his bad back - and he really pays for it! You would think he's hit the wall enough times......

Yes, I'm doing well - getting ready for another snowstorm (we just had a light frosting of an inch or two yesterday). Want some? p:

dortejakobsen 14. January 2009, 13:39

Hi spicyflier.

I want some!!!!

Danish winters are dark, foggy, wet and depressing :yuck:

Snow is cold and impractical but also beautiful and refreshing.

SpicyFlier 14. January 2009, 17:01

Dorte,
Bring a backhoe and a dump truck and help yourself! It's not melting quickly with these cold temperatures! p:
