Tang-Shui,the strengthening soup!

In this post I'd like to show up a herbal dessert from Chinese Cuisine.

Herbs have been used quite a lot to curing and maintaining body's function for centuries in long history of Chinese medicine.
Some of them are very strong,which can leads a dead or hazardous to life if overdosed.And few is not quite and may used for daily or compound with other ingredients to serve a better funtion.

April in yearly,the skin and hairs may become very dry by the temperature and climates changes during the time.And some people would caught cold or flu and some other diease by the bad weather condition in early Spring
.



Ingredients & Fuctions
Fungus(coral-like,white flower):Contains nourish Vita E, a good boot for lungs and skin.
Lotus Seeds(yellowish seeds with an open cut):Makes good maintainance on organs, and relieves 
light symptons of insonmia.
Frutus Lycii(tiny fruits in red color):it works on livers therefore it also good your eyes.
Dried Feverfew(white and yellowish flower):wash away dirts from your 
Red Jujube(dark brown/red):it tastes dry sweet which can nourish your blood to 
stregthening your body function.Too many of them may causes a uncomfortable experience 
on your skin.



HOW TO COOK:

A.Put Fungus in the container and stewing for 30mins.
B.Put Lotus seeds for another 20mins.
C.Get all rest Frutus Lycii,red jujube,dried feverfew for 10mins with weak flame.

Tips: The soup will be more tasty when Fungus being stewed for long time and became a bit sticky.Get some sugar powder and put it in the fridge will enchance the taste too.

Chinese medicine is very fascinating! :smile:

Expect me to be a frequent visitor. I'm not sure I can get ALL these ingredients where i live, but I love this kind of food!

In HK, you might see other lots sweet soup.I like them too and try to do some at home in Shanghai
