I'm very happy you wrote a new blog posting! Very glad you are back.
Ohhh it's great you installed Ubuntu on your laptop!
Well I have no experience with WLAN because I use dLAN HomePlug technology here. But did you check the WLAN Wiki of Ubuntu and the WLAN support
If there is no driver available I heard/read you can use "NdisWrapper", too. Maybe it works.
As mentioned I use Kubuntu and Ubuntu on my computers, too. There is only one "Windows only" computer here now. --> It's my sisters notebook. But I will change to Linux there, too.
