Pensions

Is it worth saving for a pension? I did and now I pay 20% income tax. Would i have been better not working and claiming benefits.
I am worse off as my private pension which didn't get an increase this year was reduced by the amount that my government pension was increased by, (government pension is means tested but not taxable), is this fair?
