1.What's tor
Tor is a system which claims to enable its users to communicate anonymously on the Internet, in my case, I use it to bypass the GFW(Golden Shield Project) to access the blocked website. It's better to use it with a firefox extention"Torbutton".
2.What's the situation
Now with the uprise of the incidents in west China, the authorities has just blocked twitter, blogger, and many other websites including this one(here is alist) . However people can find ways anyway. The blocked site are mostly foreign websites where people can express their ideas their own way, blogs and bbs.
3.So what?
As far as I am concerned, that's a fact I can live with, for most Chinese people, there are similar websites for them like "xiaonei" for facebook, "jiwai" for twitter, and many more. Of couse, sensitive words are banned or deleted by the websites. For a long time, the situation will not get any better.
The ciminals used bbs and instant message software to make plans for the violence in west China, so the government may strengthen the censorship of Internet.
