Chuột and her adopted son Chíp

My neighbor who lives across the street gave us Chíp one day. She said Chíp's mom did not want to feed him with her breast-milk.

Chuột did not care about Chíp at first but Chíp insisted on sleeping with her. Chíp was so happy being with Chuột that he ignored his mother dog when she came over to "visit" him. And one day, I was astounded to discover that Chuột fed Chíp with her own milk. It's weird as Chuột has never had her own baby before. She's still a young girl.

My mom always looks lovingly at Chuột feeding Chíp and licking his fur, and she says: "Chuột is the most caring mother in the world."

I believe Chuột is a kind and happy mother. She looks contented to see how her son getting more chubby and healthy thanks to her breast-milk.

Female dogs and some other animals can lactate when there is a need for it. Something about the presence of a baby animal stimulates the hormones that cause lactation.
"Mother love" is not a bad term for it.

Con Chuột không có sữa nhưng con Chíp bú mãi rồi có sữa luôn. Con Chuột chưa có con lần mô hết nhưng chừ có sữa nên em mới thấy lạ. Có nhiều người bảo do con Chíp bú hoài nên con Chuột tiết sữa ra.

I missed this post Lan but I have missed many. It was such a sweet and happy post until I read that some bad people stole Chuot. I'm so sorry too.
