Côn Đảo Islands used to be known as the land of prisons or the hell on earth in the wartime. Today, Côn Đảo is a paradise, a destination for lovers.

@ dW: Thanks, dW. There are still many more interesting places in Vietnam for me to discover.
@ Ái Vân: I hope so. hehehehe

That bread is not a true baguette ... in this country, we might call it an Italian bread, because it's shorter. I've never been able to detect a difference in flavour.
Incidentally, that sort of bread, hot, is excellent when filled with a really strong soft-ripened cheese (Limburger, Camembert, etc.) with chopped red/purple Italian onion. A nice, hearty beer is good with it, too, or a white wine.

Talk about cheese, I don't think I'm a foodie as I cannot stand it.
