A sports festival has been celebrated in Kim Long District, where mom and myself are living, today. The sports activities started this morning. My mom was so excited that she woke up at around 4.30 am. Of course, she performed tai chi with her elder club mates as well. Here are some photos of my mom at the event.

Favorite, mom, Hue, food ...

I’m living in Central Vietnam where the weather is very extreme. Too cold in rainy season and extremely hot in dry season. Sometimes, it reaches 42 degree Celsius in the middle of summer. My mom tries many ways to cool my heaty body down when the weather becomes unbearable. And she has been very successful.

“Bò lá lốt” - beef wrapped in “lá lốt” is one of my favorite Hue food. This morning, my mom shows me how to cook it. Let join us! I promise you it’s very easy to make.

It’s the name of our new puppy. My mom named him Papa but when I told her that papa means daddy in English, she changed it to Fafa (Fafa in Do Re Me Fa Sol ...) But sometimes she forgets, and calls him Papa so it’s very confusing for me. I think I prefer to call him Fafa.

Papa is a black and brown puppy with long messy hair. He looks cute and funny. I can tell you he’s not less naughty than Soc. My mom will be busier, I bet. Any way, the more, the merrier!

Dip it into the fish sauce

Hue is famous for “banh uot thit nuong” - a kind of wrap & roll stuffed with veggies and grilled meat. When I travel, I notice that there were many other types of wrap & roll in other areas. And one of my favorites is “banh cuon tom” - wrap & roll stuffed with veggies and steamed shrimps. I’d like my mom to try this new type of “wrap & roll” so today I made it, especially for her.
