Last Sunday afternoon found a small woman walking along the canal surrounding the Imperial City. The weather was just perfect and she enjoyed it. Half an hour earlier, she was in her narrow attic and played internet games. They were boring and too ... “cyber”, but she had no choice. She was too idle to rise up although she was aware of the fine weather outside - just a few steps from where she was lying.
(Time reflecting on the face)She suddenly remembered him always urging her to spend more time outdoor to exhale her heavy mood and inhale fresh air when he noticed her staying too long indoor. No one but him could drive her out of the unwell-lighted house into the open space for a while. Soft sunlight was kissing on the thin-petal roses, and her dog - Soc was playing in the front garden. Why did she intend to waste such a lovely Sunday afternoon? How silly! She beamed at ... no one but the rays of sun hanging themselves in the air.
And here she was by the stumbling and mossy walls of the Imperial City. She was longing to catch a special shot of the Imperial City, so special that when people looked at it they would understand how much her love was for Hue. Although it was a fine day, the sky was not blue but cloudy. She got disappointed. She wandered along the canal, and ran into these - the REFLECTIONS. They are not the reflections of beautiful trees or the slim sampans but the tree branches which were chopped and dumped into the canal with neglect. But they formed great shapes to her! She admired them, and talking to herself: “Thanks, Y.Q.! Thanks for dragging me out of my own shell, and giving me a chance to see such fine works of nature and ... human being’s carelessness...!”
