LoonyLand 2: Winter Woods

, ,

Don't let the rather simple graphics fool you, LoonyLand 2 is a pretty darn fun (action rpg) game! In the game, you play as Dr.Lunatic, a crazy mad scientist. This game is the squeal to the first part (LoonyLand: Halloween Hill) game which I didn't like as much as this one, but it doesn't mean it ain't good. Anyways, the game costs $24.95 (the download version) but you can get the CD version for $32.95+ shipping ( which includes alot more content). Now is it worth the price tag? Well, after what I played, the game seems to be worth it. But than again, that's my opinion. You just have to play it yourself. You can get more info and downloads of this and other games, here: Hamumu Games

Tasty Treats Online Adventures (Yum!)

, ,

Brought to you by the same creators of the under rated Marble Arena. Is a game of bloated proportions, a game called "Tasty Treats Online Adventures". In the game you play as a pig wanting to be great chef. But in order for the pig to be a chef, he must gather ingredients and recipes from the various levels you'll be going through. But it won't be so easy, as you'll have to avoid enemies and solve puzzles to obtain what you need. Now I bet you wondering why it's called "online adventures", well the adventuring part ain't online, but there is a online mode where you and 4 other friends can verse each other in a competition of collecting ingredients in four different game modes. You can get the game here: Tasty Treats Online Adventures (belch)

Blender 3D

, , , ...

Blender 3D is a totally open source (totally free) 3D program. Which allows you to create and animate your own 3D ( that includes a built-in game creator) creation with tons of tools and options to help you along the way, what you create is only limited to your imagination. But of course the interface takes time to learn. But luckily there are links to tutorials available on the site to help you understand the program and it's great amount of options and tools which will first be a bit intimidating, but as you learn, they will become familiar. I think it's great that there are people out there willing to create such high quality software for nothing, for people who don't have the money to buy the expensive commercial equivalents (adobe, 3DMax, etc) or just don't want spend over $1000.00 US Dollars on a program. You can get the program for all pc platforms here: Blender 3D
Here's the tutorial available on the site i'm currently using:

Both games share similar features, but the shareware version (Track Mania: United) does have a larger variety of vehicles, modes, and some exclusive content (hey, it's business). The Freeware does give you 65 tracks to play on both solo mode and against other players from both versions. It also includes a free track editor for you to make tracks.
