Rokkit Ball has changed a bit.

Just recently, i've received the latest newsletter from the guys of Instant Action and it regards some changes to Rokkitball. Basically it says you can still play for free, but now the amount of time you can play is now limited to a certain amount of plays per day. Now if you want to play for an unlimited amount of plays for a period of time. You'll have to buy an "action pass" which is basically your ticket to play as much as you want for a month ($3.99) or a year ($11.99). You also get a certain amount of extra tokens depending on which "pass" you buy. But just for today, you can play for free as much as you want with all maps unlocked! But for those who have bought content like maps for Rokkit Ball, will be allowed to play that game for free as long as they want for a lifetime and will have access to game content for free... except for anything that is just a cosmetic change, like skins and avatars. For a more detail list of changes, please go to the official Instant Action Blog. Now i'm wondering, will this eventually apply to all games in the Instant Action service?

Galactic Conquest on Instant Action

,

Instant Action has finally done it. They've finally found a way to take over the galaxy. How you ask? With the help of a game called Galcon. Yes, you too can take over the galaxy with the help of this galactic conquest sim. Learn how to command a fleet of pointy ships to take over alien worlds before your competition does! If the computer isn't enough of a challenge, you can actually invite friends from your instant action friends list and compete against them for galactic conquest! But before you do that, you may want to play the tutorial to understand how the game works. If you have an account, you can go right ahead and play. But if you don't and you want to play, you have two options. You can either sign up for Instant Action for free, i'll provide a link for you to go to do so, or you can buy the downloadable version for $19.95 for either Windows or MacOS from the official Galcon site. Both versions do include online play.
Here are the links:

Instant Action full?!

Just today, the open beta version of the highly anticipated game Fallen Legions on Instant Action has finally been opened to the public to play after a few months of only being available to a select few ( including me) who have received emails to play the closed beta of the game. That's the good part, now for the bad news. Since it's been opened to the public, Instant Action's servers have been full. So don't be surprised if you come across this screen when trying to log on to the service. It's times like these, I wish it were still a closed beta. :frown:

ZAP is back in action!

,

A while ago i've made a post about ZAP and unfortunately at that time, the game was pretty much dead. No one was really online and just playing with bots can get a bit boring. Now ZAP has came back on Instant Action, the game has been updated graphically, there are new game modes, and the gameplay has changed a bit. But now since it's on instant action, the map mode and the voice chat are no longer there. But since it's on Instant Action, host a match is alot easier than it was. Because now you can simply host a match without setting up your connection, and if you want a match to continue without you if you chose to turn off your pc, you can simply give someone else the hosting privilege so that the match can continue without you. You can play this and many other games for free when you sign up for Instant Action (if you haven't already): Instant Action

Rokkit to me!

, ,

Rokkit Ball Rokkit Ball as it's called, is a competitive sports game similar to soccer (football) mixed with a bit of lacrosse and basketball. But in this game your not kicking the ball, your either gonna be grabbing it with your grapple beam, using your rocket launcher to shot the opponent with the ball, using a combination of the two to either get the ball to the goal or passing it to a fellow team mate. Like all competitive team games, this game is heavily based on strategy and teamwork which means, if your not playing as a team, your chances of winning are slim to none. You can play this game for free on your browser, but if you haven't signed up for Instant Action, than follow the link: Instant Action

Note: I probably should haven mentioned this earlier. But when you do sign up, you will be presented a download for your browser, which is required to play the games.

Instant Action Game Review: Marble Blast Online

,

First of all I would like to say, Marble Blast Online is probably the funniest game on Instant Action right now and i'm not the only one saying it. Many others playing the beta currently would agree. Ok, time for the review, Marble Blast Online is an action based puzzle game where you control a marble and must complete challenges to advance to the next level. Some levels may have power-up to help you complete such challenges. Challenges range from the fairly simple to the very difficult and i'm not saying the kind of difficult which anyone can complete. It's the kind of difficult which requires quick reflects and memorization. Since it still in the beta phase, there aren't any unlockables, nor a score board to record the best times. So, I can't really past judgment on that yet. The online multi-player portion of the game (that's why it's called Marble Blast Online), is the funnest aspect of the game. The reason I say this is because competing against other player to obtain gems for points is alot of fun, especially if you decide to play dirty to obtain the gems. It's just so fun and funny to see players scramble to the other side of the stage knocking each other around for gems. Now for a web-based game, Marble blast online is probably the prettiest game ever compared any web-based game and runs very well beside the occasional hiccups expected from betas.
Graphics: 10
Gameplay: 9
sound: 8
fun factor: 9
Overall: 9

Be sure to come back for my review of the second game of the ever growing collection of games Instant Action offers.
