IfferMoon

,

Iffer Moon is another RPG created by the same person who created Legacy of Flan and The Desolate Room. In this game you take the role of a kid named Silence. Throughout your adventure, you'll be traveling through many strange and wonderful lands gathering people to help you defeated the evil one named Cosmose. The game play in this game is slightly different from the other two games. Instead of being a top-down rpg, this game is a side scroller, even in battle. Also, when you actually get into battle, most of the combat is done automatically. but you can click on each members status bar to execute special commands. You can get this game for free, but there are certain secrets that can only be unlocked with a special code if you donate some cash to him. You can get the game here: Scott Games

Savage 2: A Tortured Soul

, , ,

At first glace, you'd think this another MMORPG, but your wrong. This game is actually a RTS based shooter, but with some rpg elements thrown into the mix. Like any RTS based game, you'll be building structures, and team work is the key to victory. But that's where the similarities end, in this game you have the ability to level up and increase your stats. Also, like an rpg, you can buy and sell weapons, potions, spells which will either give you temporary or permanent effect on either you or if you choose to, your team mates. This game is certainly something you should try if you happen to like RTS's with more of a FPS feel and look. The game is free to try out, but if you want the full experience, you'll have to shell out $30.00. Which isn't alot considering the quality of such game. You can go here to try it out: Savage 2

Em em oh, Freeworld!

, ,

Freeworld is another MMORPG, I know what your thinking, "another MMORPG?". Well yes, but i found this one to be particularly interesting since it doesn't have a leveling up system what so ever. Instead this game is purely skill based, meaning you can go anywhere you want, whenever you want without worrying about what level you are. The only thing you have to worry about is if your good enough to beat what ever is waiting for you at the end. Also, unlike most MMORPG's, the gameplay is played in real time instead of the simple point n click combat which is found almost every MMORPG. But like any MMORPG, you can choose your class, buy and sell weapons, buy and sell goods, and join guilds. Another interesting thing is each and every server has their own world for you to explore, i'm not sure how it's gonna work, but it sure does sound quite interesting. If your interested, you can sign up for a spot to play in their work in progress game: Freeworld

Engine of War

,

Engine of War is another one of those top-down arena shooters. But what sets this apart from most arena shooters besides the mech, is the unique way it deals with weapons and functions assignment. It's unlike anything i've seen before. As you can see in the image below, at first it just looks like a jumble of icons and lines. But it's actually a graphical representation of where you assign your weapons and functions that relate to your mech.

Globulation 2

, , ,

Globulation 2 is an RTS with very unique style. There is very little micro management, instead you just assign a number of units to either work, harvest, or protect. Which allows you to focus more on strategy. Building structures such as barracks will increase the experience of the warriors to fight more efficiently. Building inns and pools will increase the happiness of the workers, which in turn make them work better. The great thing about this game is the ability to play online, which is always a good thing. You can get the game for free here: Globulation 2

Bit Battle

,

Bit Battle is another tank based Tron inspired game. What sets this game apart from the other tank based Tron inspired game is this game is only multiplayer. Also, the tank turrent is fixed instead of free moving from the base of the tank. But that doesn't mean you can't aim far, since the round you shoot will go as far as it can even up and around hills until it reaches the target. This tank game plays more like an FPS, mean you can strafe, and move backwards while shooting, but you can't jump. Also, the types of games you play in most FPS's are in this game too. You know like Capture the flag and deathmatch, but there are game mode unique to this game. You can download the open beta here: Fantical Games
