My sisters' son Gary Lee, 3 when I was born; sister Betty, Daddy, and his parents Bert and Mary Jones. I think maybe they lived in Heron, Illinois then. Who knows. I wasn't even around.

I like vintage photos very much. I have got USB-keys full of them. They date back from before 1900 sometimes. Life was pretty hard in those days, wasn't it?
Would your family have thought at that moment they would be seen by the whole world ? It is very moving. Thanks a lot for sharing,Kathy. smile

that is my nephew on the left as a toddler, Gary Lee; and then his mom, my sister Betty; I wasn't born yet. Then my dad, Virgil Fay Jones and his parents, Bert and Mary Lucinda Park Jones. I was 3 when grandfather Bert Jones passed and in my late 20's when grandma jones passed. My dad died in 1988 just before I graduated from nursing college. my mom died in 1999. I don't remember Grandpa Jones, but there is a picture of me with him when I was 3. They lived in Granite City, Illinois, just across a river from St. Louis, Missouri. I believe at the time this was taken, my mom wasn't there due to the fact that she was pregnant with me. I was born June 1952. my sister betty was born 1929 and a brother Don born 1935. Both are well. Brother in Aurora, Illinois, near Chicago where my daughter Lori practices medicine also her husband practices there; Betty lives near her oldest daughter near Athens, Georgia, close to Atlanta. ok, nuff family history! boring, I know.

It is not boring at all,Kathy. It is part of your life and part of humanity. Recollections bring you back to golden ages (in our mind of course) . See you, dear. smile
