Going Classic got me back ONLINE with Opera 10.63

Back last week Opera 11.52 decided, or perhaps the Gates Software Hijacker decided, that going online was not an option any longer and all of a sudden could not connect to remote server. Apparently a problem since 2005 sporadically and without rhyme or reason, it caused me to have to uninstall, and waste several days with other browsers, as well as lose all my passwords, bookmarks and Speed dial setup. This evening I noticed through a blogroll that 12.00 was out. Opera version 12 that is. I went to the site offering the link and decided not to forge forward but instead, try and go backwards and see if that my be my answer. So I chose http://www.softpedia.com/dyn-postdownload.php?p=7027&t=1&i=2 and did a clean install, thereby gaining online access, though losing my data. I can build back up my passwords and speed dial and bookmarks. Really - when one has too many bookmarks, and probably most people with "hoarding" tendencies like I have, may end up with hundreds of bookmarks. How many of them do you really use? I do miss my speed dial settings, however. I don't know what caused the problem, and it wouldn't matter if I did. Goal accomplished - back online.
