Uploading image to photo album

------ did not pass server validation. Make sure the file is a proper image

Have tried other browsers, pngs, jpgs, gifs, one at a time, more than one at a time, classic uploader, flash uploader, totally uninstalling all of Opera data from my computer, installing old 10.23 or whatever version, uninstalling everything and installing new stable version, uninstalling and reinstalling old version again, tried FireFox, new Internet Explorer. Every file same issue only since I upgraded opera when it prompted me to about a week ago. before that, no problems. i have thousands of pictures in probably 60 or 70 albums and now all of a sudden I can't upload to a new album I created. I tried to an existing album. I deleted the album and recreated it. nothing. I have this account so I can preserve my family pictures and my composite creations. I am fit to be hog tied. For real. SOMEONE please please help me.

I posted this to a forum today as well. This is putting me over the edge. I'm uploading to Photobucket right now. I am afraid is there a limit here? I have put Sept and Oct. composites on Pictify, I have to have online storage so I don't lose anything. I'm crazy when I lose something, anything.

this is what I tried uploading from my computer ( same computer as always) in png and in jpg format in html code from photobucket here:

Kathy, there is a limit here but don't know it hat is your problem? Try looking at "Files" in your OC header menu. You could also use GoogleDrive, I know the limit is larger than Opera, bigger company. Have you considered and external USB drive or a NAS setup off your router? This is the best I can do, hope it helps...... smile

Hey Crysta, yes, I think the files are like documents, there is a small limit for those, I had a few in there, but I have THOUSANDS of pictures in albums, they don't seem to count for anything, no one ever has said anything, I KNOW I've majorly gone over the 2gb limit on those, so I think that limit is for a separate storage for files like from your My Documents folder. I have SkyDrive and 3 TB storage in 2 separate SSD units. I'm more settled if stuff is out my house safe. So much to upload, so many family pictures to do! I feel running out of time... I created a new site here which uploads pics just fine. flapper1. thank you so much for your concern!!! So many sweet people have tried to help but I think some setting is off or what not on this site. It's just that I'm so possessive, and spent so much of my life here over the past 2 years I hate for stuff to go wrong that I can't fix. SO frustrating.

http://files.myopera.com/crystalacey/Smilies_Emoticons/Writing_OKAY_Green.gif - Opera is a small company that is serving a planet. That limit is for your whole site and they are not in the business of of offering "Personal Cloud Storage and Backup". It is not set up at that level of security (as far as loosing your stuff). There are PAID sites for that, that will give you guarantees for what you want. Kathy, I don't recommend abusing Opera's generosity, be very careful. There is a warning in here, I believe, that you might be missing and they are not beholding to you. They can and will block people from their site and delete everything you have stored. They have done it before. Have a nice day. smile

oh great, never thought of that, glad I have backups of everything on SDD units! Not like I'm a professional anything, this is just family, and the composites I do are just a therapy of sorts. Perhaps I have reached a limit, probably that's it. I certainly didn't mean any harm nor abuse! I just didn't realize it may be an issue. Kind of naive I guess! I'm over at flapper1 since they seem to think this is a bug of some sorts, the tech people didn't mention any limit to me... I gave up trying as still doesn't work today. Thank you for your help dear! best, Kathy

Kate ... click on the wrench icon in the upper extreme right of the bar at the top of your pages. Click "Accounts" in the dropdown. Then scroll down to "Files", and open that. It gives you a list of every damned file you've uploaded, and at the top it tells you that "You have used x% of your space ...".
Maybe that will help.

yup. embarrassingly enough I was 4gb on a 2gb account and the bug was allowing us to do it till they caught the bug and then began catching us. prob affect others too as it's been going on a while. SO. Andreas assured me our stuff will stay intact already up but if we be over 2gb, well, just can't upload anymore. PLUS I had the tendency to upload large files. WELL. I've learned. I'm over at flapper1 please everyone to friend me there. Best, Kat
