why can't we use the up/down arrow keys or the scroll thingy on our touchpad to move the page of the speed dial? this is crazy that we have to use the stupid archaic slide bar on the right. c'mon. answers? or do I have a retarded laptop that don't work right ( which is most likely the problem, but then, the other laptop I have would also be retarded ). This is a feature in every webpage at least on my block. My speed dial shows more squares than 1 page view holds. maybe I just need to delete 2/3 of them and that would solve the problem.

Kathy,

I take it your talking about the "mouse", "scroll" or "pointer" Pad that is common on most Laptops have and NOT a Touch Screen like on some Laptops, Tablet or Smartphones?

On My Phablet and Tablet touch Screens it works fine for me. I don't have a Laptop anymore but the problem maybe in the setup for your laptops touchpad, there is usually some setup that you can do.

Another thing you can try is a bluetooth mouse if you have bluetooth on the laptop OR a USB wireless or wired mouse.

Best I can do for you, Somebody else whom might be able to help you is "Tamil" on OC. He has a number of software helps for OC and Opera Browser like the Tool Bar I use on OC and has been around for ever. You can see him on my friend list.

seriously, it isn't written into the speed dial page code to be able to use a laptop keyboards' up/down/right/left arrows AT LEAST to navigate the website squares. I was kidding about my laptops..the arrows and the scroll thing on the touchpad work fine everywhere else. I'm just asking for an addition to that speed dial page so I can not have to drag the scroll bar on the right of the screen around. I have issues with my eyesight, hate to admit it and have really an issue with focusing and I use the arrows all the time as the scroll bar is hard for me to see. too much to ask to have it written into code? they are doing improvements all the time and do release after release, has no one else thought of this? I don't mean to be ungrateful and take advantage etc etc like I've been accused of before, just would like this little perk.

I am lost Kathy, I really don't know what your talking about. I use a trackball, I did when I had a laptop too, and never had any problems.....

it's ok. I don't know what a track ball is either, lessn it's the ball underside of a mouse, but no mouse on laptop, touchpad with a side bar at least on this one, to scroll like a mouse. I be happy if the arrow keys on keyboard work on speed dial. and I think it's code.. oh well, never mind. I get caught up in nonsense as well u know lol!

A Trackball is used instead of a mouse. the Trackball housing stays stationary, as apposed to a mouse, and the Ball is moved with the thumb, fingers click the buttons. It is easier on corporal tunnel. http://files.myopera.com/Tamil/Smilies/BigGrin.gif -

yes, I find the side part of my touch pad on the HP works on the speed dial page. My Compaq doesn't have that feature. I spend many many hours a day on one laptop or the other depending on what I'm doing, when I'm in manic mode. Other end, I sleep all that time. Don't know which is worse. or better for that matter.
