Damn the RMT

Yesterday was a barrel of laughs. A two hour each way commute to and from work is bad enough, but yesterday the underground workers went on strike. I suppose it's fair enough ... they only earn a small fortune. And the offer made by the Underground ... 6.5% pay rise and a 35 hour week ... was just insulting. Especially when you consider the amount of holiday they must take every year. And the fact the managers tell them to take off two weeks every two months or they lose out on sick leave must be grating.

Hope they're proud of themselves. Because they're greedy lazy scum, I spend 6 hours travelling yesterday. Six. Hours. For no good reason. Bastards.

A quiet day

Work started slowly today, so in the interests of preserving my sanity, I wrote an article on caching pages in PHP. I'm sure every normal person reading this will just be salivating at the thought of reading such a scintillating piece on programming...

It's strange ... those quiet days at work are usually the best ones for producing articles. I don't mean that in the sense that you have more time to do so, though of course you do, just that it seems that being at work, even when not working, you accomplish more than doing the exact same thing at home. At home, I just can't knuckle down to write articles as easily ...
