how to get more gold

poetry, palm, sketch, alchemy, experiment with interest, riches

why don't we all automatically know how to turn lead into gold? or why is alchemy so impossible. is it just an analogy for spirtual mastery?

THE EXUBERANT PALM

the exuberant palm

dares the wind to blow

her feathered fronds are bending

as if bliss could be a vision

or, in the calm expectant

loosely letting limbs languish

like actors' arms, gathers

power from the light

then when the howling winds

shake lashing leaves

the limit of endurance

and frowning branches snap

and fly and fall to a remnant

of their original selves

the palm stands humbly counting

fewer arms

and sucking deeply

from the soil

transforms a liquid intoxicant

the mother tree spews forth

fresh shoots to fan the laughing stars

opera bug and an anatomy of a lunchequality

Because, life is more interesting and unique without alchemy. This is my opinion.

memxe, in this case i was trying to see if the generaql population of opera was reading the leads in the blogs link. apparently not, because most everyone is interested in gold.

funny you should say that though because alchemy originally was just an analogy about transforming experiences. i believe youmay be on the right track.

kim... isn't the moon a beautiful object. last night i was driving back from the beach and it was rising out of a very dark cloud, just a sliver of the harvest moon. it seemed enormous as it gradually freed itself from the cloud. i was so fascinated i almost ran into the car in front of me.
