I like bent arrows the best - also because a bent arrow might teach the archer a lesson or two about life.

yes, matthew it does kind of give me a chill... but you know i only started this self-promotion business because i am tired of starving and begging for money to survive. and in spite of a high readership on hungryeyegraphics.com i haven't made a penny because of it.
i have to of course, add 'yet' , because hope springs eternal.

Marketing is not my strong suit, but I do know that there are a lot of retail failures on the internet. This is (in part) because people assume that web presence is all there is to web marketing. Apparently, there is a good deal more to it.
I am surprised that readership doesnn't translate into sales.

once i was watching the biography channel and they were doing 'madonna', the singer. when they were into her yoga period a montage of my drawings of the asanas i drew to illustrate "a handbook of yoga" went floating by.... they didn't even ask permission.
i put a paypal donate button and advertised it in opera when i was really desperate but that didn't work either. well, a french painter sent two dollars, and my oldest son donated $500. but that was because i called him in emeergency mode.
i've never been very lucky about money. it's afraid of me.

my complaint is that it has been so long since i have had enough.
there has to be some law in the universe that's going to balance it out eventually. maybe not. anyway, i am grateful for what i have.
and i have good friends which is a great gift.

then again maybe it's just a kind of superstition. still working on verifying things like that. i do know that into every life a little rain must fall.
thanks, kay four, for tipping me off to your presence. and i am so glad to hear that you drop by now and then. even if you don't usually feel like commenting. as you can see i just enjoy talking and show and tell and complaining once in a while. i always appreciate comments.
that, elmar, is something of a tragedy... i cut it in half and painted on the other side. it never went further than that sketchy thing.

by the way, elmar. i spent a long time yesterday learning arabic writing from the kid. that was so interesting. now i can read arabic. i took notes through the whole thing (seven clips). of course that doesn't mean i will know what it's saying lol. but now i could at least sound it out. i told the kid he is doing a great work towards peace in the world.
