Hey Scot-tee, say it like captain kirk
I found this clip I shot of you and can't remember if I'd
already given it to you,
It made me cry... I love when you do the pirate thing.
HA-HA
I would have sent it but it's to big 4meg
Man all sound good heading south Belize and naked little
brown bodies every where like Gauguin that's where's I
wanted to be.
But I stuck in the frig for a while. If all works out I will be
inside where it's warm for a while and that's a lot of pressure
off. It's a lot cheaper here but there's very little call for
artwork or 3d so I'm still plugging away at the computer.
It's getting tougher by the day I can't concentrate but I never
could anyway. I am getting closer to doing some painting once
I come down enough to find all my stuff. I’m getting closer
everyday hope the mind holds.
Yell I know what you mean about those smoke blowers I was
sick of it a long time ago there is just to many flacks in that
state I don’t know how they ever get anything accomplished.
I’m happy for you getting to head south I hope it all works
out. I just need a place I can work I don’t want a bunch of
money I just want to do what I like doing I’m told then the
money will follow I have always worked for and at what
others wanted if I don’t do my thing now I sure that time will
run out on me.
I don’t want to be a homeless vegetable in this cold or
anywhere else. I seen what happens to people, I living proof.
It’s sounds like that’s where you need to be and just have a
good time from all the crap.

I would love to stand on a beach some where and paint naked
brown girls with you again one day. That summer on Venice
will always be good memories to me… the closet I’ve every
been to living the life I had planned as a young boy. Living
the artist life not to many have been able to say that in the
style we did it. Even poor and nothing more than what we
carried there I feel I had more than so many others and even
more than others only dream to have. I wish I had better
words to say it was a great time for me.
I’m glad you was there… you played your part so very well.

anyway, i would have been glad to have washed your back chest deep in the stream.
outdoors, in the still woods is a powerful and elemental impression full of power, sometimes with aphrodesiac results.
i'm so glad you enjoyed the tour of big sur.

btw, that wasn't me in those clips. in the first one i was in the 'role' of the pixilated artist, somewhat lifted from alec guinness's portrayal of 'gulley jimson', from "the horse's mouth". on the bluff at big sur, was a combination of my father and my cynical, but lacanically amusing brother.
the real me is in this blog.
i would love to host your visit. you can have my room and i'll sleep in the living room on my 'book-couch'. six big boxes of art books, covered with a soft layer of hundreds of drawings, four inches of foam rubber, topped by an oriental carpet, sheets and blankets.

Ah, to be on 'The Road ' again, and all that that implies, but that is lost in another time and all around us is unfamiliar newness that I fight with every fiber of my being.
It's not a simple... generation gap. It's another world in-between then and now, and if I don't hold on tightly to remember, how it felt, the freedom, of so much, this, here, today, everything, will also be lost to me.
And my words may not be expressing what I'm really trying to say, feel. And I shouldn't be free writing, but it pours out this way and at times I just don't care how or if the words come together for some. Because I'm not really here, I'm still in another time.
I know I'll never fit in anywhere. And God knows, I don't want to.
I'm just trying to understand. To help the people around me. My Granddaughter I am raising with my values, from my time, and although confusing to her, and at the same time, I don't want it to be...I WANT her to fit in and I DON'T!!! So conflicted. Yet willing to get back out on that limb and if I have to, just keep dangling, waiting and hoping...something edible falls from the sky.

i know exactly what you're talking about. no advice.
except my ultimate resort will be to go to belize or any other country that doesn't specialize in violence.
what we have lost is the freedom to roam anonymously. it was a 'police state' in the fifties, then the sixties had the government throwing up it's arms in confusion as to what to do about us.
now the fear mongers (government) and news media fear peddlars have created a world they wish us to accept without revolt. a plebicite, or referendum of the honest opinion of the people who are north americans would, i venture to guess, reveal that most of us, ordinary souls, are not happy to hear that we have armies in 127 different countries.
we all know that our grandchildren are going to pay for that in hard coin and suffering. and for what? to spread democracy? democracy is alive and well. and has been for 2500 years or more. sometimes the magic works and sometimes it doesn't. it doesn't work when the people lose the effectiveness of their voice. and a consensus will always reveal the conscience of the governed.
it just happened... no one is to blame.
well, maybe a few careless campfires spoiled it for the rest of us who dutifully burned only 'dead and down' found wood within walking distance. we allways doused the fire with water or pissed it out.
now there are so many rules with greedy fines. if you get caught sleeping somewhere without a permit from an owner or organization, you can be arrested. and the fine will cause you to become a fugitive from justice.
vis a vis grandchildren, and i am gaining more of them every time i look up there's another one... the more the merrier.
the best influence is just to love them.

Discovered some great Dorado (mahi mahi to us). Should be in the restaurant by the time you get this card.
Off to the Mediterranean in search of spices, wines, and great fish recipes. May stop in Malta, depending on the weather.

I don't know who Robert is. The restaurant is the BoneFish Grill....fabulous food and atmosphere.
I'm racking my brain (which is a chore) to try and figure out, because I don't remember, filling anything out OR ever leaving my address.
Always pay cash when I go out to eat, never my credit card, so, who knows??

i'm going back to the boardwalk in june. i can get some footage for you, just for fun. then you can edit and play with it like michael van did.
