almost a year since i moved in and finally, today,i am organized to work. that's how long it takes to nest in a new place. after almost eight years in los angeles, i have a place to work where the wind is not blowing and four different music aren't assailing my consciousness simultaneously.
so this is how this living room started.
this is what it was like earlier today.
and
now i am ready to work
this is serious

little table for watercolors and illustrating
now i am too tired to work. at least dinner was cooked yesterday.
now i am ready to roll...
organized...

I didn't do anything! but I will take the Kudos!

I find that too much of organization in a studio it is NOT a good thing. I find things easier if they lay where they will be needed ,not when they look better!
wheels are great. Did you ever try the old fashioned TV and bar tables?? compact and easy to move

D'ya know what I'm saying?
By ricewood, # 16. April 2008, 14:17:59
Guess I'm one of those who always dreamt of
having a studio in which to paint.
Even if I dont know how!
Love the pictures there my man.
PS: I keep reading about these Kudos.
Seems like there are a lot of them.
Angelikis got some. You've got some.
is this a sort of a sushi dish?
Whatever they taste like I want some (please)

thanks kyren,
please see that lokutus, my big bro in england gets one too. they are so much fun to be with. (of course they talk way too much}
hi sukku,
i haven't seen yu in my neck of the woods in a 'coon's age. auspicious... the day i begin my own bhagavad gita again.
allan, i know exactly what you mean. every now and then i clear every surface and enjoy that until i can't find something, like the scissors,
then as i use things, the place gradually gets cluttered again.
yes, b., it stinks real good. but i love it. it sure beats cigarette smoke.
nic and angeliki good morning... have you fed your kudos yet?
naomi,
i remember the candy bar... don't think i ever had one... sort of a health bar right?

Angelki was promised Kudos only!
you will see why I say this ....
Kyren,
the etymology you find in Wikipedia it is right but there is a small story behind the story!!
since
Scott is tickling my Greek DNA, here I go again!
So,
my sweet friend Loku,
Venus was receiving Kudos,( sweets) from Mercury....
There are two kinds of Kudos given to her.One we learn in our schools was made out of honey comb and rose petals , a candy,
and the adult Kudos that produced Cupid.
when on Valentines day we receive "kudos" in a chocolate version it is related to Cupid that was a product of sweets exchanged!!
I was given Kudos but trust me I would have known if I received any!!
Loku,
as I told Scott yesterday,
"I have a lot of Junk information stored" !!
By ellinidata, # 16. April 2008, 19:47:13
the version of Swedish.....
Middle Eastern.....
and all in between Valentine origins are correct also!!!

By KYren, # 16. April 2008, 20:13:43
thanks for the link
I will in the future in a more children's friendly subject!!!
By ellinidata, # 16. April 2008, 21:42:27
kudos to you young sir.
ku·dos (kdōz′, -dōs′, -dŏs′, ky-)
n.
Acclaim or praise for exceptional achievement.
[Greek kūdos, magical glory.]
greek etymology:
2. Suffixed form *əkous-yo-. ACOUSTIC, from Greek akouein, to hear.
angeliki,
you tickle me too.
lokukudoless,
frankly, i'd be overjoyed if it were sushi
