hawks

, , , , ,

in spite of everyone's hopes obama is just another hawk. we are not defending our country. we are attacking other countries.
the more agendas involved, the further from the truth we stray.

there's no conscience in war. it's so easy to dismiss the damage.

what do we have to choose from. a doddering ex-prisoner-of-war or a 'people's choice' for the sake of 'change' (when did a man ever engineer a 'change'?).

i painted this when i was 15. i call it 'progress', or protest. war is mechanical, manmade scourge. (like nature doesn't present enough debacles to humble us.)

do no harm. what if that armless child were your son?

You master both the simple and the grand scenarios. The force and the engagement of a 15 year old is really up front in the first painting  The second one is almost biblical. I like that
About the political stuff. Well, it´s the never ending story

Have I told you this before? I love your works - and it doesn't mind if you're fifteen or whatever.

You have a personal style - and that's a bliss.

Besides, I sometimes think that the people who don't strive for power should be given power.

good one allan. i agree with that. but it's seldom that a man who is not moved by so-called power to happen into power. but history has many examples of how the country thrived under the reign of an humble leader. what is always missing is a sincere desire to serve.

seems even when you were too young you were already concerned about what goes around you and the world. that's brilliant! if teenagers could be like that, the world would be suffering less now.
I know what you are feeling with the elections... brazilians are feeling it since the last election and now we don't have choices... next Ocotber we'll have one here for President and people are just... lost! we don't have the actual President, but the other choices we have are bad either...

I agree with Allan, except that I believe the people who don't strive for it, actually have more than they realize. We just need to pay more attention to them.

san, you said the magic word. "attention"

That´s what the parrots are trained to say in "Uthopia" all the time: "Attention". We need parrots like that nowadays

I read over your entry, all comments of your friends and carefully saw the painting which I already seen on your another site....I have to say now I have seen the more deeper, I more understand them.....
and the second theme....it is hard to find answer...everywhere the first
task played "the money". And "the money" corrupt the peoples, bow and scrape
them.... Many times I was deeply disappointed of people which on first sight
acted as serious and responsible and when they came to power I have tore my hair.... Stop of politic! Today is Sunday, so have a nice sunny Sunday:)

it's a good day to forget our troubles and enjoy the simple life.

a good leader knows how to follow. it is that simple, imo.

the first painting is inspirational and a little political in a sense -- like a robot moving through the ruins of . . . .

your second painting is quite humble. to hold a child who has suffered the wrath of another human without control of the child's life and future -- i'll bet that child grows up to be a leader of men! given the faith and the love of his mother and friends!

that's my two cents worth scott. thanks. deborah.
