That is awesome. The man is stronger and more graceful with one leg than I am with two. Kudos.

linda, thanks for the comment.
it is amazing what an extreme exercise of 'will' had to be made; for both dancers. inspiring.

Scott, I don’t know if you read the synopsis on YouTube, but this is what it said:

" The young woman was in a terrible accident and lost her arm. She had been a dancer and the loss was devastating to her. After some years of deep depression, someone suggested that she teach dance to children. She began to realize that she wanted to try to dance again. The loss of her arm affected her balance and at first she fell constantly. She wanted to find a partner who was also disabled. The young man you see in the video had never danced before, and he, too, was in a terrible accident. He thought her idea was not a good one, but she persisted and they became a team."

They are absolutely amazing and beautiful dancers. Couldn’t help but cry.

star, thanks for commenting.

hi, pam, sorry.

usually i don't post videos but i just felt this was very special; an example to anyone of how to be. how to just go on.

I saw this sipping my morning coffee - and frankly, it made me profoundly happy. This is not, for me, primarily about handicaps. It's about the magnificent adaptivity of human beings. That love conquers obstacles, yes - handicaps and ultimately death.

I can now go on with my day a bit richer, a bit happier. Thank you.

This was beautiful. Reading the strong story behind these two dancers also brought both goose pimples and tear in the eyes.

I_ArtMan 23. September 2009, 09:15

ah, allan. i am so glad you got the right feeling out of it. that's exactly how i felt. uplifted.

norfrid... yes, it's funny how those goose pimples tell us that we are feeling something special. i guess it's admiration.

barefoot_muse 23. September 2009, 16:57

edwardpiercy 25. September 2009, 18:25

Hi Scott! that was just beautiful! Makes you humble!
And makes us understand that nothing is impossible, the impossible just take a little longer!
