well, daphne was born on july 3rd. that will be easy to remember. now i can count my grandchildren on every finger of both hands.
i was so happy i painted a four day colored pencil abstraction. combined with how lokutus prime's cruise ship (15 stories, he said) tickled my imagination, and my love of just color sometimes and forms produced this large drawing. 24"x16".
i am house/dog sitting for my friend mitch who has flown with seven grandchildren and his wife to europe.
it's always good to get out of the house and 'be' somewhere else. i am having a wonderful time. with all this heat we are experiencing it is lovely to feel the breezes from the pacific air conditioner.

Cool abstract. Especially the kneeling/twisted guy. The sea of sailboats and fish resemble a bassinet.

yeah, i think i will just have to try to paint that scene. it's been done often by many classical artists. how to show her terror of being chased by apollo. i guess she was just a little too young and he was a little too impulsive. happy
