dollars from heaven

, ,

after a rich dinner last night i was walking and found a dollar in the street. i went a little further and found another.
i was very excited because i had just been counting in my mind the days until my next ssi check and planning to bring my change to the supermarket coin machine.... anyway, then i found a folded five and two more dollars... then amazing as it may seem a ten. then a few more singles.

i looked around to see who was playing a game with me.... then i was looking up to heaven and said, "wow,

thank you god... you really are watching and moving things around aren't you?"

anyway, if i hadn't eaten this delicious but rich dinner, i wouldn't have gone for a walk at 9:00 and if i had gone back on the side of the street i prefer to travel on, i wouldn't have found the cash. go figure.
stroganoff night. my invention... many people might not like chicken livers but the bay leaves with the carmelized onions made it taste even as if it had been cooked in sherry. but i used no wine.
experimenting. it's good for you too.

i didn't make this tart.... just wanted to show th biggest lindzer tart i've ever seen. i couldn't eat it until my midnight snack... i just had a sliver with tea.

apparently all my creative force is surfacing in the culinary department. i'd better get back to painting quick... or i'll start balooning and have difficulty getting up.

i'm ready for a whole new direction... been here before. i can feel it cooking in my unconscious... gotta be patient. farmers wait years for the fallow field to ripen enough for new crops.

i'm really not worried.
i'm really very happy.

Wow, what a great cook you are. I think it's commendable that you make such nice meals for yourself. Me, I can only put in that effort if I have someone else to cook for.

My partner and I have this saying now, "Must be living right", to explain when things just seem to be falling into place. Isn't it so exciting when you can sense that change for the good coming? Yay Scott. :D

yes indeed, as we have discussed before, Father certainly does watch over us, doesn't He?

yeah san, i do know what you mean. and i have that saying too. you know like when you are driving somewhere and not much time and you keep getting green lights and find a parking space right in front... yep, i must be living right now.

probably when i get back into painting again though, i can predict that it will be a piece of rye bread folded over some cheddar cheese and a slice of onion.

thank you for the nice comment.

I cant remember where I read this or who said it but I love it:

Something brewing inside? The times they are a-changing?

I think this post is most exciting and at the same time soothing to read. I´ll follow you, if you´ll allow me, to see what way your new direction takes you.

Oh, and one small question from a person not having English as his first language: What does the abbreviation ssi stand for?

Good for you, IArtman!

Scott, why are you revelling in freedom? What happened? Who took your freedom away?

Great Scott. I know times like that. But beware It´s sometimes Gods way to get your attention...you might have to be alert of what is wanted from you in return  If it is so..you´ll be informed..don´t worry.
It´s possible that you´ve already done something that deserved a reward

Wow, Scott, that's really a bizarre occurance. I wonder where all that money came from?

@ Allan, SSI = Social Security Insurance.

By edwardpiercy, # 30. August 2007, 21:06:47

avatar
@ allan & edward

SSI = Supplimental Security Income

NOT Social Security Insurance

it is for ppl that are disabled & unable to work, or that retired too early to get social security benefits.

you guys are wonderful. i feel like a prize fighter with good allies in his corner.
kim is right. it's supplemental security income. doesn't include any healthcare. $850 a month. that's less than $30.00 a day.

momable, the answer is, i have been living communally in sober living houses for five and a half years. sharing a kitchen with 18 people. that's one of the strongest reasons why i am so gleeful.

allan yup, something's brewing... times are changing. i'm like a man who has had to drag a millstone tied to his leg for the last ten years.
now finally, it has been cut and as soon as i get over the post-traumatic stress syndrome all of this has left behind, the phoenix will be resurrected.
"god willing and the creek don't rise."

timewarner brutally cut off my t.v., internet, and phone today... that's why i didn't answer sooner. obviously, it's on again. it took me all day to get back into the saddle.

i love you friends.

the brass ring of self-containment?

By I_ArtMan, # 1. September 2007, 18:31:17

avatar
EEEhh I´m not exactly sure what that is Scott. Please enlighten me..

By nopanic, # 1. September 2007, 21:38:51

avatar
it was a prize on a merry-go-round in the old days at the amusement park or county fair. you rode round and round and your wooden horse went up and down so you had to be lucky to be in the right position when you got to where you could reach out and get the brass ring. then you could take the ring to the operator and pick out the prize from among an assortment offered. then they put the ring back.

self-containment....? the grace of self-control... a gift from god.
