:eyes: WOW. Dangerous, but what a spectacle. Where is it?

By nopanic, # 27. April 2008, 19:50:38

That was positively frightning! The holes in the floor! and having to walk on that little tiny beam!!
I saw one of the people was tying off to the cable, but the photographer didn't seem to - and to walk along with a camera too!
Did you take the video??

By cakkleberrylane, # 27. April 2008, 20:20:32

avatar
no i didn't take the video. my friend bill tomkins sent it to me.

it's el camino del rey... king's walkway, at el chorro, spain (andalusia)

the photographer was very sure footed wasn't he?

By I_ArtMan, # 27. April 2008, 20:26:39

avatar
Very much so. That took a very brave person to photograph that. I'm sure he had to be looking through the viewfinder or at least at the display, the video was too good to be otherwise. Can you imagine walking with only that little screen to guide you!!

This walk reminds me of one of my nightmares! This was really a scary camino. I copied the link. Hope it is ok.

I love this video!! :D

watching it you remind yourself

"never take a walk alone!!"
"always grab a friends hand ".

or question yourself:
"did I sign my last will and testament??"
"what am I going to do first when this is over??"

or you make a major decision!
"I am quiting thet F@@@@@@g diet! Life is short"

thanks for sharing !!!!

p.s. Ravo sent it to me too!
we must have mutual friends!

Hey, how do you know a man made it? Could be a woman, or teenager.

Great video. That was something else!!!!!!

i guess the boots looked like men's boots. i guess i have to do it again to make sure. i can do it again.

By I_ArtMan, # 5. May 2008, 06:42:25

avatar

ahh, this is exactly the type of place I daydreamed about adventuring to back when I was in high school, sitting in a dull classroom, bored out of my mind.
thanks for the virtual jaunt! It was wonderful.

By fauxxpas, # 5. May 2008, 14:26:52

avatar
i 've done it twice it really is a trip.

By I_ArtMan, # 5. May 2008, 17:01:56

avatar
Scott, I have those same boots!

Maybe it was me? :eyes:

Wow, you did that walk twice! How come it is in a state of ill-repair?
Who actually built all the iron and cement works that are now falling apart.

I think I would want to be belted in walking this, especially with all those holes. If the walkway fell, that little cable would hold??????

Yikes.

By momable, # 5. May 2008, 18:36:34

avatar
:eyes: It's cool to walk this path from our desks no ?

By Liu, # 5. May 2008, 19:04:22

avatar
mom, if it were you, then you were fearless. it is in disrepair probably, because they have no surplus of money to keep it up. once they did, but now they don't.

yes, liu, it is nice and safe here at the monitor... but i had no trouble empathizing with the hiker.

there was a time when i would have done this walk, but now, i don't think so.

By I_ArtMan, # 5. May 2008, 22:11:36

avatar
my heart and mind will do it!!
my boots are in storage

hi Nicolaki,
high heels are out and ready for a Tango dance!
how are my friend??
are you " eating an egg a day ?? " :D

By ellinidata, # 6. May 2008, 19:07:23

avatar
The tango lessons are over. We´ve haven´t had time to see each other for some time now...miss her terribly...but have been painting :D

By nopanic, # 7. May 2008, 20:02:59

avatar
Nicolaki,
draw your emotions on canvas....

I wish I was as good poet as Scott is.....
I was going to use the line and write a poem for you and your Tango partner!
I am sure she misses you too!

By ellinidata, # 7. May 2008, 21:33:34

avatar
i never take the time
to make a simple rhyme
now the tango's over
but i still love her

so what should i do
i haven't a clue
i will write a letter
then i'll feel better

 just proving that there's always enough time. if you were to 'save time', where would you keep it?

By I_ArtMan, # 8. May 2008, 00:13:43

avatar
exactly !! where do you keep time???

will you please explain one thing to me??

why men that have such feeling like our friend does,
do not just pick up the phone and simply say it??
Is it the the fear of rejection? fear of commitment ?
is the desire more than the feelings ?
or it's a man's thing???
I wish I could understand men!
I find myself lately wondering ....
Men work so hard to get to a point with you and then they just work as hard as they did to brake loose ! (not in Nick's case ). Why ??? It seems like a game when it is not!

By ellinidata, # 8. May 2008, 00:26:29

avatar
fear of rejection can be overcome if my attraction to 'her' is strong enough. commitment is just a fear of the future itself. but no one can guess what will come.

i say "go out on a limb, that's where the fruit is." also, i believe that we all need one special someone. it helps to keep us sane.

By I_ArtMan, # 8. May 2008, 00:44:28

avatar
I stopped using the word "future" 14 years ago.
I guess it's an area that I have to work on in order to get it.
What is future??
I don't know if tomorrow will come.
I treasure the moment,
this moment that I talk to a friend is precious...
why people have to be tested in life to realize life is now??
why the if, future, what ruin the present??

Scott,
thanks for being a friend,
I care about you now !

By ellinidata, # 8. May 2008, 01:00:05

avatar
and i care for you. we're all in the same boat thinking we need a plan. just doesn't work that way. unless today is different, tomorrow will be the same. that's axiomatic. if we have an aim, then we should direct our energies towards that.

thanks for your interest in me. we are real friends now.

By I_ArtMan, # 8. May 2008, 01:05:13
