hi Scott,
my knowledge on Mitchell Ryan is very basic.
I always wonder if his alcoholism had anything to do with his Korean War experiences.
On the other hand we do see brilliant actors take the path of an alcoholic because of the enormous pressure of the business. It is not easy to be in the spot light one day and be without a job the next.
what ever the case , I will be delighted to know more

i guess you will have to read the book.

this is just my first stab at an idea for the cover. i just posted it so he could see how the window works with the pencil drawings. it's far from final.

the real challenge is the website... deep into that, working hard.

I am sure the web site it is a very hard work,
I am technologically challenged and I admire what all of you are accomplishing.
Is the book to be published??
The drawing does include amazing facial expressions from young age and beyond
Is the book you were reading in the yard the other day??
I am sure it will be very interesting to read the emotional challenges and the fighting of the demons within...
I am excited already!!When it will be available???
Take care,
Good night,
xx A

tell me when to send a check for the book and s/h. Yes, it's me.
I can not sleep.I have to stop handling nasty documents late at night.I am getting over tensed. Since I couldn;t sleep I did google Mitch and what I get is no more than I know already!

what tan?
you look like a gypsy already!
I have a small tan going on too.
I was three days ago at the park playing volley ball with my young and the temperature was 75F. I did get a little color already. Yesterday and today it is raining and in a way I wasn't upset since I had a ton of work to do indoors.

so, since I know your eyes are tired and you won;t see this tonight, I am wishing you again a peaceful sleep.

@ Scott
I feel you. These puppies are FAR more work than they appear to be. Even when you think you are finished, you end up improving it. Let me know if you need advice on the web site so I can spare you some of the agony I've gone through.

i'm looking forward to a good day of work. it's good to have something i can sink my teeth into.

angeliki,
you will be the first to know the publication date. an you will have the honor of officially being the first buyer of mitch's book.

thanks leazz, i value your opinion.

thanks for the offer, naomi, i do appreciate that. if i get stuck on something, i'll ask. ummm yes... these 'puppies' do take a lot of time. i expect to spend the whole day just trying different versions. not only for the cover, but the layout of the home page, links etc. banners omg... " miles to go before we rest"

I'm learning all about dvd burning, different ways to label them that don't involve having it out with your printer. As soon as I think I am getting a grasp on this, there is something new to learn. It keeps things interesting & protects against Alzheimers.

CultureSurfer.com does that!
many useful things to see and awake your mind!!

Hey, great marketing idea!

"Wanna prevent Alzheimer's, watch CultureSurfer.com."

I know, I'm bad. I watched my grandmother suffer with the disease & am now watching both of Jeff's parents deal with it. So please don't think I'm being glib about it. I sometimes joke about terrible stuff to deal with it.

aww, that's o.k. what were we talking about?

I have to say I only know Mitchell Ryan from the sitcom Dharma and Greg.

By E. Driver, # 22. May 2008, 08:47:44

avatar
E.Driver,
M.Ryan is a very interesting Character.Much more than the media wanted us to know. You should Google him.
Even better read the book when it is published

By ellinidata, # 22. May 2008, 10:39:06

avatar
one thing many who know mitch from dharma and greg don't know is that he starred in no less than twenty-one shakespeare plays. one of my favorite movies, "monte walsh", which stars jeanne moreau, lee marvin and jack palance in their prime. mitchell's in a very difficult role as 'shorty'. and he is very believable. i would say more but that would be 'stepping on' the movie in case you ever get a chance to see it.

thanks for commenting elmar.

By I_ArtMan, # 22. May 2008, 19:05:35

avatar
the program wouldn't let me edit this post's main body with the picture of mitch as 'shorty' so undaunted... here it had better be when i click submit.

and it isn't. what is going on with opera today?

one more time...

that's nice. hey, every little bit helps in advertising. word of mouth is a powerful tool.

well, i rebooted in case all the photoshop work was gumming up my ram.

tried your suggestion and the preview was blank. maybe tomorrow.

http:// my.opera.com/I_ArtMan/albums/showpic.dml?album=4993&picture=7384083

you can copy this and close the space and see the picture by pasting the result in your browser window. or i'll just send it to you in email.

if i could upload it to my journal gallery... i don't see why i can't embed it here as usual. i know how to do it, it's just not taking.

If you email I would love to know what you had at the lunch/meeting

i put a space between the http:// and the rest of the address. copy to notepad and close the space. then copy again and paste in browser address bar. then check your email.

thank her for me meli, there is no greater comparison i would appreciate more that michelangelo buonarotti, my hero since i was fifteen.

the timing was good for jumping in the car at ten to nine. just what i needed two and a half hours of constant excitement.
"indiana jones" and a hotdog and raisinets, what a rare treat.

i wonder if opera will let me paste in the portrait today.

By I_ArtMan, # 23. May 2008, 17:02:40

raisinets ?? I love them!

I am glad the work of El Greco is one of your favorites. His biography and paintings are proudly displayed on our coffee table daily

I hope Opera allows you to do so,
if not msg Espen. He is amazingly helpful and fast too!

hahahaha I am sure I will know!
sorry handsome,
but I thought it was a big contrast.
Since I am always a little  I just did stir the waters .
as for too much work,
I think I should start sending you Greek meals over night.
That will give you a brake.
The other day it was a very nice lady (I don't recall your post or her name),
she was commenting about the food...
I was smiling just thinking that these days you barely have time to pee not to post pictures of new meals!
On the other hand a great comment can be appreciated no muter what time of the year comes. Let the great friends comment and visit any food posts.

I will have Sir S. pick some fresh tomatoes for you... Great tomato salad topped with tuna plus a glass of V8 will do miracles for the artist!
Thanks for the new preview : 5*'s make them 10 * 's !

WOW! this post-subject is all toooo heady for me.:faint:

I don't have a clue (and I won't 'cheat' by searching on google) what anyone is talking about here... but what I read is immensely interesting, profound and of a 'dimension' that is enthralling.

Let me cut to the chase. I love your art work, Scott bro'
I wish I had been gifted with the ability to illustrate and to sketch and to draw like you do.It never ceases to astound and amaze me.

In simple words I praise your creativity, your gift.
In simplest sense, you bring many (much!) things to canvas that are lovely to behold.

Thanks for this

(PS: I saw beloved  Lea's post here, where she says "i love this "...and I am reminded that she also is an amazing and talented highly gifted artist who brings such deep joy to me as I look at her art-work  )

"

Latins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:bomb: :bomb: :bomb: :bomb:

the right one was written by Greeks :
"pnevma ygies en somati ygeies" ! I had 6 years of Latin in high school and 6 years of ancient Greek, I still can not get over of how copy cats these Latins were! Even today Italian men try to act like Greek men (don;t have me started on this one!! )
what was the subject???

By ellinidata, # 28. May 2008, 21:18:41

@ Naomi,
sorry , to hear about your sinus ,
I think is is because of the time you spend in areas with too many people...
The air is not so clean,
in this case you might be able to deduct the medical bills from you business taxes.
I know,
I am thinking of business again :frown:
the important thing it is you are feeling better.

 to you Naomi.
